WTF is with TNT's game selection for tomorrow?

They move the Nuggets-Warriors game (at Golden State) to a 5pm local start because they have two west coast games. Instead of showing Mavs-Jazz first, followed by DEN-GSW, they are gonna make half the Warriors fans miss the game in traffic with an early start and then for the nightcap they are gonna treat us to a Lakers trouncing of the pathetic Clippers.

Luckily, the Mavs-Jazz is on NBALP, but it's on at the same time now as the Warrior game, thanks to TNT. Way to go Chuck....

Dallas v Utah and GSW v DEN would probably be the highest rated TNT Thursday on record.

But nooooo, they take the easy route and lock in all of Los Angeles.

What the hell were they thinking. Weren't the Clippers eliminated from the playoffs before TNT's schedule was made back in July? Seriously everyone knew they were going to suck.

Can anybody summarize the playoff implications of the remaining games for the Suns? I don't know who to root for or why.

The Suns need to win out, and the Lakers need to lose 2 for them to win the Pacific. It is possible for the Suns, as the Lakers play the Spurs, Hornets, Clippers, and Kings. (I think)

If the Lakers win out, there will move to the #2 seed.

I think that is right, it changes everyday it seems.

The Lakers only have to win out if the Suns do as well. Any combination of 3 Laker Wins, or 3 Suns losses ends the division race. It might be 2 games, but I thought it was 3. If we beat the Clippers and Kings, we only need the Suns to lose one game the rest of the year to take the division.

This is the Lakers though, they play down to their opponent, so you never know what's going to happen.

Basically we want SA, LA, Utah & Houston to lose so we move ahead of them in the standings. In a case where SA plays LA, we'd love for both to lose somehow but someone obviously has to win so we root for LA because they own the tiebreaker on us and we own the tiebreaker on the Spurs (so it'll be easier to pass them in the seedings). Ideally, we want a #3 seed matching up against #6 Houston in the 1st rd of the playoffs. A #2 seed matching up against #7 Dallas would be ok too. The other good thing about getting the 2 or 3 seed is we get to avoid New Orleans until the conference finals.

Come on Dallas

Come on Clipps

I don't really care who wins out of Denver and GS.... Although I think Denver has a better chance of knocking New Orleans out in the first round....

And BTW... if that happend, would anyone REALLY think it was a huge upset if/when that happends.... At the very least that series goes 6 or 7, but I think Denver could very well beat them... and if we finish in the 5th position I want Denver.. otherwise it doesn't really matter....

Should be a GREAT night of basketball as well as pretty much every game will be for the Western Conference from now until June....

I love this time of the year....

Of Course it would be an upset....

But would anyone really consider it a normal 8 over 1 upset... Which has only happend once? (ironically enough it was Denver who did it)....

I think the expierance of Denver and the complete LACK of expierance of New Orleans, makes a playoff series more even than EVER in a 1-8 matchup... and if Denver wins, I don't know how big of an upset that would really be....

Agreed. Bottom line is that we DO NOT want to be the #5 seed. That would mean having to beat Utah, then New Orleans, and then if lucky enough, the survivor of the Lakers-Spurs. Not a favorable scenario.

#2, #3 or even #6 works for me, just not #5.

My wife will be glad that the lakers/clips are in that time slot, Iwont watch that game, not one minute. the nugs/warriors should be ferocious, and I expect the mavs to bring everything against the jazz. I am calling for Josh Howard to destroy utahs mediocre 2 guard defense, he scored 47 against them earlier in the year. Dirk will be there but he also needs help from Terry.

I still think it's not right how the Lakers get to play two more home games every season than any other team.

Lakers need to keep winning, NOH need to keep losing, spurs need to lose to the lakers , rockets need to lose to the suns on friday. laker no.1 , NOH at no.2 , suns no.3, utah no.4, spurs no.5, rockets no.6, dallas no.7, warrior/denver no.8 would be the best for the suns.

I'm rooting for the Warriors tonight. I like the team they have right now, and would feel bad if they got left out of the playoffs.

It would be nice if the Clippers could pull off an upset.

I would say there's about a .2% chance of that happening. This isn't Charlotte or Memphis we're talking about....it's the CLIPPERS!

Nuggets working GSW. RECORD crowd, as fire marshal approved standing only ticket sales, and the crowd is just way too quiet.

jesus, are we really gonna be the only team to choke against the choking dogs down in Dallas? They were up 14, now down 3 in the fourth to Utah.
