Time to admit it: This is a terrible football team.

Sheesh!! A win is a win is a win. At least wait until the game is over before giving up. The old Cardinals would have given up half way through the 4th quarter and got blown out. They didn't. They figured out a way to win even with all the bad play. That's a sign of a team trying to find it's way, but one that has enough confidence to hang in there and grab a win. They willed their selves to a win today. A big game ball to everyone on defense. They really deserved it.

I'll admit that the Offense is very bad at this point.

The defense, even with all the injuries is playing pretty good ball at this point.

The ST's has been playing Very good.

So at this point I will say we are a mediocre team with enough skill players to improve on Offense.

Meh. That type of win against that kind of team doesn't mean we are good.

An argument can be made both way. You can say we played a team in turmoil and should have won by 30 or you can say we played a team with a solid defense that kept N.O. in check and we were on the road for the second of back to back games on the East Coast and pulled out our first 4th quarter double digit deficit since 1999 with half of our defense out. We may not be a SB contender, but we are not Jacksonville.

I disagree

youve heard of moral victories in defeats. Where evn though you lose, you can hold your head high?

This is like the complete opposite. Even though we won, I couldnt be more embarrassed of this team

Your prerogative, but I'm willing to accept the ugly wins and look for better down the road. The old Cardinals would never have won this game, especially not on the road on the second road trip game in a row on the East coast.

That's ridiculous. They looked like crap, but with a few fixes this team isn't terrible. We're not Jacksonville.

This is a rebuild, but we're still fairly competitive against ho-hum NFL teams.

I get that perspective, doing something the Old Cards couldn't.

I still think we should expect better.

There's plenty of room for improvement, especially on the offensive side still.

But the Jaguars, NOW THAT is a bad football team.

Thank God we didn't listen to the pundits and draft Gabbert over PP!!

Then we'd be them!

What old Cardinals are you talking about? You wrote the same thing last year regarding the 2012 team. And again the year before 2011 and the year before that, 2010 and in 2009 we kicked the crap out of people. So what are you talking about... Joe Buglel's boys 20 years ago?

Our guys don't give up they just get overmatched when it comes to talent. To continue to call the guys that used to play in Arizona quitters is really bogus in my opinion.

Nothing worse than being average in the NFL. You miss out on the best players but don't get a chance at the title.

Seriously? You remember that 49ers game that we really should have lost on the goal-line? That is an embarrassment victory. We won this game straight up, shut down the run, actually played decent offense in the 4th quarter.

Are you watching the rest of the league? Jacksonville is beyond horrible. Giants a close 2nd, Pittsburgh 3rd, Philly 4th, St. Louis 5th. How we lost to those bums is a mystery.

That one is going to come back to haunt us. Up 11 on the Rams in the fourth quarter and lose. Should have never happened.

:(

So we're the same 5-11 team as last year, only with a slightly worse (but much less exciting--I think we can agree on that) defense, and a (very) slightly better offense.

Yay?

Lol, nuance fellas... The realization that this is a bad team had nothing to do with the end result. I'll take a win, but this team is bad.

Loyalty, from the course of Football 101: "No win on the road is a crap win". And in the long run you might end up being correct. But not yet.

Have we forgotten how good this team can be at home
This team has a chance to win 8 or 9 games we still have a couple very winnable road games with Philly and Jacksonville and who knows about tenn with locker hurt now. I'm not jumping off yet.

This week: I'd rather be the subjective worst 2 and 2 team, than the best 1-3 or 0-4.

We beat a team at home that has now lost 3 games in the dying moments and has the second best points against in the NFC.

16 against the Saints, 18 against the Jets, 23 against the Pats going into Sunday.

Not me. Even the horrendous 2003 team was 4-4 at home. The team is bad but we still have a chance.
