Whats changed in your opinion? Seems like he same place to me. There was plenty of bitching go around since day one.
Ya, it is the same. A handful of fun posters stopped posting, but the only difference I see is that dark siders used to get more grief.

Same question to you? Whats different to you? Just as many negative nelly back then as today.

In fact guys like K9 were even worse back then.
Seems like there used to be about 7 mods on a time at one point too.

I think the difference is that negativity and/or positivity has become personal for some and rather than fun discussions with fun jabs being thrown around it is taken way too serious and feelings are getting hurt causing tension. In the past is you called out someone for beating a dead horse or exaggeration, there were some friendly jabs now it is just insults.

After watching the Saints dismantle the Dolphins last night, I, for one, feel better about the fight we put up for three quarters and the Tampa win.

Really easy to see you are correct. Just scroll down to the bottom of the main thread page and use the Display Options to list threads in ascending order from the beginning. It will take you to threads from 2003 and you can read the same type posts we see here today.

Hard to believe we went from 4-0 and ranked 5th in one NFL Power Poll one year ago to a thread titled Time to admit it: we are a terrible football team this season.

You gotta love Cardinal football.

Yep, someone wanted Dennis Green fired after his second preseason game, and he ended up being right!

Garbage Beyond 0-4

Instead of calling TB a garbage team, I now think they are a garbage organization:

I can see how you would feel that way but I just went back to March 2003 and there was a thread that was locked because of all the insults, jabs, etc.

It's no different now than it was then. Except that we actually win a few games in between the 10 game losing streaks. Super Bowl, Playoffs, 3-15, 11-2, 1-11. That would make the fans of any NFL team crazy.

we are statistically the worse team ever- but seeing how I do not have a choice- just opinion- I must proclaim that makes us the best fans ever- Most NFL fans would disintegrate into the air - POOF- If they imagined what we have already been through.

tempered by the flames of adversity - forged in the hell fires of pro football- the oldest team in the NFL. Cursed by Pottsville - adored by opposing fans ( I'm happy we play the Cardinals this week))) no hope( or interest) of fielding a fundamentally sound pro football team - We live and die by the big play - passing ourselves to death!

Till death do we part - and I was a Browns fan before the Cardinals landed in Phoenix.
Been there done that- got way to many T-shirts!

Well Smel I watched fans disappear from Sun Devil by the dozens in the '90's. People who had season tickets near me would just be gone the next year replaced by empty seats. Especially the successful guys that had loge tickets. They just couldn't stomach the perpetual ineptitude which is really hard for macho guys with big Egos. Of course not being able to bang on the brown aluminum during the games anymore didn't help. Pissed a lot of people off and they never came back.

5th?? Heck, the Cardinals were #1 or #2 on CBS (can't pull up an archived page) and they were #1 on some other rankings, such as these (and this was when they were only 3-0, after the drubbing of the Eagles, who had come into the game 2-0 and were then still thought to be good!):

seriously. i think the Bucs logo is probably next to definition of the "garbage team" in the dictionary at this point.

They played terrible but still won. I call that a resilient team.

One thing we know is that the Bucs suck worse than us. Yea us!

yep

I was the guy arguing that our Punter Tom Tupa was a great QB option after the Cards landing- actually weve seen worse since! I liked Mccown and still do- as well as Leinart- I don't and never have thought it is a QB problem or an oline problem- and then the crap hit the fanatic- I turned on what I thought the solution was- Woe is Ken Whisenhunt.

You see I thought continuity and consistency of FO, GM, coach, scheme and philosophy are the keys to NFL Franchise long term success, Player Free agency threw a curve but still continuity and consistency of a Franchise. True Card fans and Bidwills are here forever- We have the stadium full and have reduced the number of opponent fans and increased the Cards fans on most weeks.

I want to believe in BA and Keim. I seen Keim follow the mainstream instead of tripping out in left field. I seen players graded increments higher replace players ranked increments lower for the first time. yea kick me in my grading scale - I don't care anymore- ESPN has basically the same structure now and I adhust it by my priorities of skill set per position- so shoot me.

BA is a fundamentally poor football coach- He stated he has never seen it take this long for an offense to develop? Well when you are SCARED to practice blocking and tackling in the offseason - because of injury- your tem is not prepared to face a team that AINT SCARED to practice blocking and tackling in the offseason. Injuries are going to happen in this bigger faster NFL. But if you don't commit to the fundamentals you increase the risk of injury!

We practiced 3rd and long extensively and have like 2- 3rd down conversions this year? the scores has not been so outrageous that we are always playing catch up- the excuse Whiz used that wasn't true. Our defense is spent by the 4th 1/4 because our offense had -what- 1 long drive last week? many 2 minutes or less? same broken record playing different coach, RB, QB'sss, oline!

I know I'm a broken record to- but we are like a manure spreader going across the field kicking the crap out of ourselves- we are not good enough to outperform NFL defenses passing over 2/3rds of the time- few are- it is disrespectful to NFL defenses and they enjoy playing our offense- wearing down our defense- and so many kicks to return.

If we concentrated on fundamentals for 1 year with patients- we would compete - We aint got a chance in the current NFCW while soaring with turkeys- we are cooking our own goose-
