"Dislocated bone" does not sound like a break. Hopefully, the recovery is fast. Judging by last night, we definitely need him on KO return.
Have to wait and see!
That's my take. Gotta wait for more info.

(Note - Didn't see later report. Week 8 is better than "next year", and a wrist isn't "load bearing." So he can stay in shape and continue to learn the nuances of his projected role).

I thought I also read that the Cardinals had already placed him on IR.
It's hard to keep up with all the reserve status categories but - isn't there an "IR-Retrievable" category that allows an IR player to be retrieved later in the season (Anyone know which week)?

They did away with that a couple of years ago.. any one player on IR can be designated to return now once healthy (after the prerequisite amount of time)

Cardinals RB T.J. Logan suffered a dislocated wrist, coach Bruce Arians said. He'll have surgery and go on IR, and will be out for 12 weeks. Arians said Logan could be back by Week 8.

Hope they don't keep him out for the season. Love watching him return kicks.

I think they have changed that to up to two players on IR can be re-activated now.

Correct. My question is why limit it at all, let teams bring back as many players as they want from IR.
The league doesn't want teams stashing players on IR instead of cutting them and trying to put them in practice squad

Thanks and it makes some sense but how many players would that really amount to? Simply make the rule they can't come back from IR until week 8 or later. I know teams have hid rookies on IR in years past so I guess there is a need to limit the number a team can bring back.

Allowing more players to be on the roster while keeping it as it is would also be a good trade off

The size of the roster and the amount of players they allow to suit up for such a contact sport is a joke... teams should be allotted more on their roster in my opinion

I agree with this. It actually could prevent injuries by lowering usage.

The problem is in the dollars.. the owners won't want to add more dollars to the player pool, and the players won't want to divide up the pool among more guys

all the salaries do not count against the cap anyway. They can keep cap counts as they are,...increase rosters to 60,..and increase game day rosters to 53... the bottom of the roster will just fill out with minimum deal players.

Owners would still have to pay them

You can only bring back 2 players, it's not an unlimited amount
