If Todd Haley could have gotten just a little more out of this offense this year (had he been here) we would be in the playoffs....

I would love to see Haley return. I think he would have a significant positive impact on our qb situation.

If Haley brings back Tyler Palko in yet another attempt to make him an NFL QB, I am totally out.

It's definitely interesting. He'll have a chip on his shoulder to perform; plus he might be a bit humbled by the KC tenure and not be so personally aggressive (if the rumors are true). I wonder what Larry thinks of the idea.

Prove those words using evidence. Give specific examples that highlight how that could possibly be true.

Thesmel is still stuck in the '70's run mode of the NFL. Teams that heavily rely on the run game don't win Super Bowls this day & age!!! Points come in the passing game as Jaws says.

In Whis I trust! If he wants Haley that is great and if not, then that is cool too.

Thesmel is bitching about the coaches record and I think iff someone came up to me and said:

So we are going to give you a coach. He will have 1 losing season in 5 years. Two times he will take you to the playoffs and out of that, you will go to the Super Bowl once.

I would have asked if that coach would like the keys to the city.

Anything that takes the play calling out of Whiz hands is a positive to me.

Why do 30% of the posters keep saying this? Whiz didnt call the plays last season?

Whiz had final say on what got sent out to the field so his hands were deep in the offensive goo. He was very much in the mix and could override any play sent down from the booth.

You dont think Whiz could do that or didnt have that autonomy when Haley was here or if he comes back? Whose offense do you thinnk Haley was running while he was here?

He is the HEAD COACH. He has FINAL SAY on anything that happens?

Thats how the NFL works. Just FYI.

An interesting thought after reading the reports and putting together timelines. Warner's retirement coincided with Haley's departure. It does bring up the idea of Warner not wanting to be part of this offense without Haley being involved. I wonder what that means with regards to how much Haley molded the offense to Warner and if Warner was motivated to retire with the departure of Haley.

Whiz has been very much in the mix offensively as long as he had been HC.

Warner left a year after Haley.

Everything and anything in the "reports" say that warner and warners wife say he was sincerely worried about his health after having his 7th or 8th concussion.. He had a really hard time coming back from the last one and is scared the bejeesus out of him.

No more or no less.

And this.. Also had another great year after Haley too.

Sure and that's how everyone knew that it wasn't actually Haley that called all those great plays, it was Warner. Apparently, that trend has continued - Whiz only calls the bad plays.

This. When he got nailed by the block against NO and didn't get up right away, Brenda Warner looked very scared. Very. I told my wife right then that was going to be his last game ever.

If Haley does come back, I see no reason why we shouldn't average 37 points a game and win the NFC.

I said the exact same thing. You could see it in his eyes.

That hit was so vicious that I, too, figured it was the deciding factor in him retiring. I could just imagine the conversations his family would sit down to in the coming weeks about his health.

No doubt!!!

Then a week later they bascially did the same to Favre.

Hard to believe the refs let Warner get hit in the head at least 5 times in that Saints game & not a single flag! :bang: Now I really don't care for those guys because they robbed the Cards of 1 more season of greatness with KW...who knows what might have happened.

Come on Suh, Avril & KVB...get us some payback!!!
