Doesnt work.

But Diaw/Banks/ATL for Reggie Evans, Kyle Korver, and Thaddeus Young works

I watched young in the summer league and was impressed. 6'8, left handed, very quick, fast feet, very smart (4.0 in college) great defender and a great leaper

Evans is a great rebounder, korver is a great 3pt sharpshooter, and young may be better than what we could get with ATL pick next summer.

Oh man this would be a great x-mas present

Hell of a trade there but Sac would have to be mentally ill to do it.

Hell, sign me right up! But, why in the hell would SAC even entertain the thought of that for more than half a second?

I mean, we'd run this:

Nash-Artest-Hill-Marion-Stoudemire

Barbosa-Salmons-Skinner-the rest

We still have a hole in the middle, but I think we have more fire and competitiveness....

Throw in ATL, they get a damn good rookie, decent draft pick and we take the headcase off their hands in time for bibby and other injuries to come back to a fresh start for the team.

a damn good rookie who hasn't seen more than 5 minutes of time in the league? A draft pick that's going to be in the mid to late teens and a salary albatross for their 2nd and third best players? There's no way in hell Sacto even considers that for a mili second.

It is going to have to be a Diaw, ATL, Tucker for Artest trade. No way would they do a swap for salmons IMO.

Artest worries me. I don't know how he would do in a loose style. Maybe that would eb better for him. But, the guy is a headcase.

I've come up with a perfect trade proposal.:D

Phx:
Out: Diaw, Banks, Marks, Marion
In: Kirilenko, Giricek, Fesenko, Gooden

Pros: Amare/AK/Hill/Bell/Nash is at least as good. Skinner/Gooden/LB/Giricek bench offers solid defense and 3pt shooting. AK is a better driver and 3pt shooter. Giricek can shoot. Gooden is an upgrade on defense over Diaw, whose ball handling is no longer needed with Hill on board and AK.
Financially, this deal saves about 5 mil this season making us about 3mil under LT.

Cons: AK's contract is much longer and he is not as healthy as Marion. Also, we'll miss Marion's hussle and energy in REGULAR season.

Utah:
Out: Kirilenko, Giri., Fesenko.
In: Marion, Marshall

Pros: Getting rid of AK's contract and his attitude while getting a slightly better talent in Marion. Marshall's expires in two years, together with Marion if he didn't opt out earlier, when Deron's extension kicks in.

Cons: None

Cleveland:

Out Gooden, Marshall
In: Diaw, Banks, Marks.

Pros: Diaw, Banks should fit LBJ, Ilgausas, Varajao, Hughes core very well. With LBJ and Diaw handling the ball, Banks can concentrate on defense and occasional drives and jump shooting. They should be a much better team as long as they use, and motivate, Diaw correctly.

Cons: Longer contracts.

wow, way to pepper every active trade thread with your same idea. You really think that highly of it that we should read it 4 times?

I too found myself not cringing at that proposal as much as I should have

Walker has size and no hesitation to shoot. Its jut that his %s are horrible and he may challenge barbosa for black-hole-ness

has anyone got any bright ideas on how we could possibly move Diaw for Nene/Ratliff/Ben wallace ? Those 3 are probably the most attainable big men who can rebound and defend for us. i'm no good with coming up with trades though i have been playing with the trade machine a bit.

Denver has the talent but can't seem to get it together so maybe making a move (nene) would help? Minnesota is going nowhere so the veteran ratliff won't help them out. his defense/rebounding could be of some use to us at times though he is as slow as the day is long. Chicago is probably the team most in need of a trade. They need some kind of inside scorer, so maybe trading ben for a more offensive player (diaw) would help?

just some thoughts.

Diaw and Banks are pretty much universally regarded as 2 of the 10 worst contracts in the league. Any deal that sends BOTH of them to another team would be hideous.

The Suns would have to give Amare and the Hawks pick to unload those 2. If you don't believe me just look at what they had to give to unload KT and his contract isn't that bad AND he's actually still a productive player.

There are quite a few teams out there in need of a trade. i think we should be able to obtain a decent defensive/rebounding big man to start next to amare. Diaw could be a nice piece to rebuild with or he could be the worst possible. If he produces like we know he can then he's perfect because he can do everything (shoot, defend, score down low, rebound, and most importantly facilitate). If he doesn't, a team is stuck with a hard-to-move player who makes too much over too long of a period.

Might as well bump this as diaw has basically proved he is 100% useless.

He is done, all the chances are finally up. He gets a chance to step up, a chance to shine, and what does he do?

5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists in 35 minutes on 33% shooting.

Time to roll the dice (I guess in sacramento's sense since we are losing basically nothing anymore):

Diaw and the ATL for Artest

Why would the kings do it?

They are currently the 10th worst team in the nba, and Artest is coming back from an injury (that required surgery). They get the ATL pick, and young useless talent which would almost definatley help them to get a worse record and a better (slightly possible even lottery) pick. Even better if an absolute tsunami of ridiculousness happend, they could end up with 2 lottery picks (their record and the hawks going into freefall).

If I was the kings, figuring we are 10th worst and in the west I would sure as hell do it. No chance at all they are making the playoffs with 9 west teams having 20+ wins already and 10th place houston having 19 wins. Talk about hopeless. Common kings, do us a favor.

would WE do it. Artest can opt out after this season. would we risk having both Marion and Artest opting out after next season, with no first round picks? THAT would be a disaster.
