I read an article today the betting lines on Kyler getting traded are +600 to the Bucs. I know we own his rights but players today have many ways of getting what they want if they really want out? I know he played with Mike Evans at T A & M but you think they didn't talk about the possibility of playing together again on the Bucs during the pro bowl? Brady is done & they need a QB. I'm sure several players tried to recruit him in which their teams need a QB. I'm sure in those recruitment talks their teams FO was discussed in comparison to ours. How would you think those discussions went coming from Kyler about our FO? This is pure speculation on my part but I really don't think I'm wrong. Let's face it, our OL isn't great, especially our guards, Kyler wants an OL that can protect him one can assume & Keim absolutely sucks at building one. Kyler knows this & more than likely doesn't see that changing & knows Keim ain't going anywhere anytime soon. The Bucs have a good OL so connect the dots. I may be reaching but maybe not? If we trade Kyler, then what? Thoughts?

If we were to trade Kyler, his value is probably at its highest. Rookie contract w 2 years, still tons of room for development. Regardless of what the IHKC (I hate Kyler Crew) thinks he would command a haul and is probably more attractive than what Watson was pre HJ’s being the clock left on his RC contract. I think the other factor is AZ would almost certainly require a QB back unless they had intent to spend on a vet FA.. w a move like that in losing the face of your current franchise - you’d have to get a player to appease the fans.

I’d believe it would take (3) first rounders, a young rising star on his rookie contract and perhaps a swapping a few players w dead money for non-guaranteed money to free up some more cap for AZ.

You just don’t see young franchise QB’s traded.. esp ones on that their rookie contract. Not talking about rookie QBs in general but ones that most would view as a franchise QB. I can’t even think of one, so that Vegas line is looking like a sucker bet.

It's a long way from Kyler getting traded. Unless he takes this much further.

But if he was getting traded I can't think of a coach less suitable for Kyler than BA. Kyler is the antithesis of everything BA wants in a QB. Which is someone with pocket presence that's calm under pressure.

Something BA definitely isn't interested in are young QB's who are still developing.

Far more likely Rodgers or Wilson end up in Tampa. I'd put money on Winston being back in Tampa before they traded for Kyler.

I disagree.. BA loves throwing the ball down the field. I think he would fit excellent in a BA offense as Kyler has always excelled at that.

BA also loves vets who are fully developed, that work hard at the study and are calm in the pocket. None of which apply to Kyler.

He's a guy that has QB's wearing VR headsets to study defenses. No way on this earth he'd let Kyler get away with all the gaming, slack study and "I see everything naturally" crap. He expects his QB to be 24/7 about football during the season.

Agree- if BA wanted KM he would go back to Winston. Aside from the front office relationships, what do the Bucs have that makes any of this plausible? Wirfs, 2 firsts, and 2 2nds?

Heck if Watson clears up his issues Bucs would be right up there at the top of Watsons list and Watson would be at the top of the Bucs. And they wouldn't need as much capital.

BA would give him a name worse than Knee Deep, unless KM changed his attitude tickety-boo.
The IHKC does realize it is just posters on this board that relentlessly keep on hammering on KM’s attitude? There literally has never been one leak in his career about his attitude at any level of play from any team he has been on.

Personally, would I like to see more fire from KM? Absolutely. Would I like to see publicly more visible grit, determination, leadership - absolutely. Do I know for a fact he has a crap attitude and is a terrible leader? Absolutely not. Haven’t heard a peep of this ever from any coach or teammate of his.

And the snowball of nonsense keeps getting bigger and bigger as it continues it's downhill journey

Just picture KM telling BA he doesn't need to spend more time in the film room, like, "Nah, coach, I got this." All the talk around here about BA being an "alpha" would lead me to believe that conversation would not go particularly well.

Oh, and refusing to blindly heap accolades on KM doesn't make anyone haters. I do like that you stated here some of the things you'd like to see from him. It shows you don't always espouse the "KM is perfect" line you are hell-bent on defending at all other times. Clearly he has talent, can make big plays, and can compile big stat lines. Everyone here can see that. He has the physical ability to put it all together to become the QB we all want and need. The question is--and it's still up in the air, though a lot of rhetoric makes it sound like minds are made up already--can he mature and do the things he must do to reach that level? He hasn't shown that he can so far, which is why so many folks don't want the team giving him a mega deal yet. KM has a big year ahead of him. We'll see what the future holds.

Coaches and team mates never publicly criticize their starting QB.

There has been enough visible in his own body language and play on the field and read in his own words to feel comfortable taking the position that he has issues with his work ethic and leadership.

This is Kyler's problem and why he's so frustrating

I feel like Cardinals fans are in crazy land. Kyler has his faults and needs to mature, but there is zero question he is one of the most talented young players in the NFL today. Teams go decades without seeing a talented QB, and we have one of the best in the league. Is he a bit enigmatic? Yes, needs to mature as a leader and grow a bit more resilient, but if he is traded, this team is looking at years of darkness.

Why would it be years of darkness?

You take the (at least) 3 1st round picks you would get for him and you take one or two of them into next years draft and trade up for Bryce Young or CJ Stroud. I would say this year, but this years QB class sucks.

I go back and forth on KM and I think this quote sums it up for me as well. The question is are we getting a stat machine (Kirk Cousins) or are we going to get a TRUE franchise QB, one who perennially takes the team deep in the playoffs with a chance for a championship? If they give him a max contract like the top guys right now, they may live to regret it.

IMO KM is NOT going to be traded.

Probably not, but after this I wouldn't mind if he was.

I was so pleased with him through 8 games last year. Even in the GB loss he played well enough and we should have won. I thought he'd finally matured and started doing what was required to reach the next level.

Then he got injured (again) and played like crap in the back end of the season (again). Then was quoted crowning himself in the NYT and how he's naturally talented enough to just see everything. Then lays a massive egg in the playoffs with one of the worst (if not the worst) first half performance in history and then has the balls to pull a stunt like this?

Pffft. The kids super talented, but he's also an arrogant prick.
