Am I the only one who had the thought that Hornacek was sending a message to Bledsoe, that two PGs can play together well by his persistence in playing Dragic and Smith together for a significant stretch of time?

That's any interesting point. I don't think so...but then again Hornacek is a pretty sharp guy and wouldn't be surprised if this was the case. Also is anyone concerned about Bledsoe's toughness. Dragic is playing on an injured ankle and came back after several stitches over his eye, while Bledsoe has sat out with a bruise...

No, but only because I don't know how bad it feels. Yeah most bruises aren't too bad, but that doesn't mean the one he has doesn't hurt pretty badly.

I will give Bledsoe the benefit of the doubt but it will interesting to follow the situation throughout the season. Bledsoe has some competition in Dragic if he wants to be the star of the Suns team.

Just a final thought on the game. Where was Robin Lopez in the second half?

Yeah...seems typical for Robin. It was maddening to me how he always showed ability in stretches but never turned that corner where he was consistently good

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that pain is keeping Bledsoe from playing.

From what I've read, he was limping at practice today and he couldn't push off.

Which means that he would hurt the team more than he would help. Bottom line -- we ended the Blazers' winning streak with him recuperating.

Having him and Dragic will benefit us for the long haul. That's pretty good insurance at Point Guard.

Yeah, but is the fact that he can't push off due to the amount of pain he feels when he tries. If it didn't hurt as much he would probably be more likely to effectively push off on it.

If that is the case, it's still better for the Suns if he heals properly this early in the season.

Especially with two 1st string Point Guards on the roster and the emergence of Gerald Green stepping in as the starting Shooting Guard.

Every team wishes they could cover an injury that way. Credit to our GM for putting this roster together and to Horny for making it work. Especially considering the dismal predictions for the Suns before the season.

Yes, it is Thanksgiving. :)

I absolutely love this Suns team. It's too bad more fans can't embrace this team.

I think the Trail Blazers came in, totally dominated early getting a 16 point lead, and then deflated when the Suns did not give up after taking their best shot.

One word: Dragic

Guy attacked and penetrated, made Lilliard a liability on defense. Totally broke him down tonight.

Green took a couple of ill advised shots. Plumlee was impressive but fouls took him out early on. Number 11 went on a nice spree there, what was nice was that long range shots weren't part of it.

Refs tried to make it a game there with some bogus calls in favor of Lilliard but the Blazers couldn't build off of it.

I don't know. The Suns sure were exciting tonight.

I agree.

I was recently on the trade Goran band wagon. I am jumping off, it is getting mighty lonely. I would love to see he and Bledsoe healthy and play together. I also hope that Ish stays in the rotation. Speed kills and with any combination of those three we are lethal and fun to watch.

I am afraid to give too much credit to the Mori brother, I don't want to jinx them, but when they have been good this year they have been very good. Maybe Ryan knows more than we do. I was against picking up their option for next year, like most on this and other boards. If they continue their solid play we definitely will be drafting the best player available next summer, especially if Len makes his way to the court and makes contributions.

I was also in the camp that thought it was a good move when we resigned Frye in the summer on 2010. Most thought we overpaid, I disagreed then and now. IMO, he is a far better defender than given credit for and does a lot of things well. When his shot is falling he is a great weapon to have on your team.

Not much not to like about this team.

Only problem is that our draft pick next summer may not even be in the lottery, let alone top three.

Enjoy the ride.

If it's not in the lottery than we made the playoffs and that isn't a problem, but if it's in the 8-14 range than that is likely going to suck. I have faith that McD will find a good one either way, but would feel better about it if it got into the top 5.

That was the best game I have ever seen Channing play - much of the time he was even alert on defense. If he shoots like that one can tolerate a few lapses. Good rebounding and mostly solid play at both ends. Of course he isn't going to keep shooting at 80+% but if he's doing everything else like that he'll be an asset for a change.

It was nice to have a Slava sighting. He's not a slow, lumbering player as someone said recently - he moves well for his size and he showed a little toughness around the basket. No doubt he'd be a boon for the tanking effort this year but if he puts in serious work for a couple of years he might become an NBA worthy backup C.

It's one of those rare games that goes completely against everyone's expectations, both pre-game and during. The Suns have now beaten Blazers twice by double digits, while losing to them once by one point on the road. Remarkable, given how well the Blazers have been playing.

We are to the blazers as the kings are to us

I don't think so. I think our matchup with the Kings was difficult in large part because we weren't used to playing without our best player and our second best player was still trying to find his game while recovering from injuries. Cousins is a nightmare for us but we played far below our ability during that three game stretch (Brooklyn and the two Sac games).
