That ball was outside the cylinder when Baynes dunked it.

These games without Booker show how far the team has come and the impact of Monty. Whenever Booker missed time over the last 2 seasons, the game wasn't worth watching. They've stayed competitive without him this year though. I'm not saying they don't need him because he does make everything easier but its night and day compared to the last 2 years when Igor and Triano were coaching. Triano had a truly awful roster and while the roster last year wasn't great, it was much better than having to start Mike James at PG and 63 year old Tyson Chandler at Center.

Who is the guy on the Blazers' bench with the shiny, mustard colored suit? I can't focus on the game with that thing.

He was a bad fit. The league has changed also. Back then he wasn't big enough to be a real stretch 4 and was exposed here as a 1 trick pony. Almost every team runs a stretch 4 nowadays and PF's from 4-5 years ago are either Centers or out of the league.

I thought he would be a better scorer for the Suns and provide better shooting.

As at the end of the first quarter, the Suns top scorers are all Centers and Forwards.

Specifically, our four top scorers.

When, in the history of the backcourt-heavy Suns. has their score been dominated
by the front court? I love it!

And 19 assists, led by Rubio's 7. Tomorrow would be the best time for Booker to
concentrate on scoring from the Shooting Guard position, with a few assists and
not compete with Rubio for the most assists.

Look at the +/-. Kaminsky, Bridges and, off the bench, Carter each with a +10 to
lead the Suns.

We did play even (34 apiece) in the 2nd quarter. I hope our best quarters are not
behind us.

I'm not worried about their record but I'm tired of seeing losses. The Jazz came back from 10 games below 500 just 2 years ago and they made the playoffs. Rubio was part of that team also, so it's not just wishful thinking that it could be done again. The Suns have the same PG who led that comeback.

I'd rather them not fall that far below 500 but if they do, it's not time to write them off. They're much improved compared to last year, which is how I'm trying to view the season. If they miss the playoffs then that sucks but I can live with it. They only won 19 games last season and seeing a huge improvement without a major roster addition is unlikely anyways but seeing continued growth is important. They'll be primed to make another leap next season if they come up short this year. They'll hopefully get a few pieces also to improve the cast around Booker, Ayton, and Oubre.

Suns are settling for outside shots and the lead is down to 2 points.

Bad perimeter defense is killing us. Trailblazers just want to shoot 3s and we keep leaving them wide open

Can we just bring Ayton and Booker back for the rest of this game? Getting incredibly hard to watch...

Rubio has been uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball today. 7 turnovers already.

Anytime BOTH Booker and Ayton are out, I’m amazed this team even remains competitive... We just don’t have enough athletes and shooters... If we’re relying on Frank and Baynes to be key scorers down the stretch we are in serious trouble.

pretty much I mean do people really think we have the talent to beat the Blazers without Ayton and Booker.

if we win that’s awesome but I’m not gonna be disappointed in a loss.

the fact we’ve played the last two games close without Booker is encouraging to me

Sigh...Cam can score but can't defend. Bridges can defend but can't score. Together, they are one fantastic player or one awful player...
