Like I posted in another thread... The scrimmage thingy will be in Cardinals Stadium on the 5th. It will be open to the construction crews and stadium personnel.

Which doubly sucks for those of us who are dying to see the completed stadium and watch the scrimmage.

I can wait one more week to see the stadium. And, I've always hated the scrimmage. It's nothing more than one hour of sheer anxiety hoping no one gets hurt. At least, that's what it is for me.

They got rid of the Scrimmage last season. It's just a Scripted Game Simulation now. They just run through a series of new Offensive Formations for the fans to take a look at.

Maybe we can all get jobs standing in the south endzone catching players who fall off the field tray.

(I mean that in a completely hetrosexual way.)

Or, we can stand with our arms up as goal posts since they won't fit into the stadium! :)

Yep, they actually did two-hand touch, IIRC. It's my favorite Dennis Green coaching decision.

So they install the goal posts after they roll the field in?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I like the hinged thingy idea best.

Hmmm, so the mock game is on Aug 5 in Glendale? What day would be good to go to Flag and watch practice then?

They had to drop the idea.

It would have required the SEZ roof be reinforced take being hit by the goalposts as they were sucked under it. It would also have required the spings embedded in the turf to cushion the impact going down and return them to upright later. Nobody coul;d figure out how to safely bury the springs.

As an added safety factor a sensor system would have been required to avoid launching ground staff though the hole in the roof [or into the next state on the outside] when repositioning to upright
