Not surprising. Last year they realized that Bethel's strength was playing as an inside DB, so they use him as the starting outside CB this year.

I hope the change is made.

Justin Bethel was a great special teams player at one point.

I think Bethel has had a pretty good year. I may be the only one but, other than a couple plays, I think his coverage has been fine. Mathieu is the one who has stunk this year.

Pretty much.

You have to understand as long as Patrick Peterson is on the other side there gonna go at your #2 corner all day long. It's not oh there picking on Bethal it's there staying away from Peterson

Truman Williams doesn't have the speed to keep up with the opponent's speed wrs. Bethel does but doesn't look for the ball and thus gets beat. He is not a playmaker. Truman is, he showed it with the key interception. It will be interesting to see what BA does.

Williams is more experienced than Bethel. Bethel more athletic and really has improved versus last year. That said I agree Williams should see the field more.

Hmmm. Not sure Tramon is going to be much of an improvement.

Tampa was really the first game he's played this year, other than a handful of snaps against the Lions and Colts in relief of Bethel. He didn't come onto the field until PP went out, playing 30 snaps against TB while we were trying to let them back into the game.

Bethel is frustrating mainly because he isn't usually out of position, he just has no idea where the ball is and can't swat it away.

It'll be very interesting to see if this move is an all out benching of Bethel, or continued motivation, ala the infamous "Failure in Progress" comment.

It appears to me as though BA/Betch has decided that TW has earned a shot. Probably through more then just his play last weekend.

If only we could give Bethel Tramon's brain, because at his age ole' TW might lack the deep speed... if only we could split Tramon's brain with Bethel and Brandon Williams :)
