This just looks incredible.... no way they could have done these effects 5 years ago. Just unreal..... I wish I was 13 again for stuff like this

:I'lljustpretendtobe13:
I've been reading this thread, thinking....'whatever'. I just watched the trailer....holy crap. I won't camp out, but it's going to be one of the few movies that I will insist on seeing on the big screen.

I dunno. If it's the trailer that's on Yahoo that'd got all of your guys' panties in a twist, I don't get it. It looked okay--I'll probably see it on DVD (only because I don't go to the theater much these days), but it didn't make me think it was anything special.

It sort of reminded me of Independence Day for some reason.

I think it's because I've had the 80's (or whatever) cartoon notion stuck in my head...the trailer is NOTHING like the cartoon....yes, I had some Independence Day comparisons running through my head, but ID had/has some of the best special effects I've ever seen.

Here's the link to the teaser I saw: http://www.empireonline.com/futurefilms/trailers/format.asp?id=1171

If this doesn't bunch up your panties, switch back to briefs!

Yeah. That's the same one.

I'm not saying it looks bad, I just think it looks like a fairly standard summer blockbuster.

The Transformers never did it for me anyway...Maybe that's it.

I am ok with some of the changes but after seeing some of the writer videos it appears to me some changes are being made based on licensing deals etc. I.e. Bumble Bee probalby wasn't a bug because they had no deal with Volks.

Some of the designs I am OK with. Others seem like glorified robots from some japanamation cartoon. I really hope this movie is good and doesn't diassapoint G1 fans.

It's funny. I was really really excited about this film. However, as more and more of the changes leak out about things they have done, my enthusiasm keeps getting more tempered about the film. I just hope this film doesn't become a glorified japanamation mech movie. If it does then they should have just left it alone.

Yeah, I'm pretty much with Jasoriah on this one...looks ok but I'm not too hyped about it. I'll catch it on DVD maybe.

I stand by my earlier statement. Looks fun, but maybe because I never really got the Transformer "bug," I think it looks like a pretty typical summer blockbuster.

I was a transformer kid. But they were just another toy/TV show to me; and this is just another summer blockbuster to me.
