Right lol…. Gate1 has been a game changer for seeing the world. They have these flash deals every Monday and I’m always ready to pounce.
Never heard of it, but now I'm going to check it out.

I've accrued more than 2M points since December which will fund my travel for the next couple of years.

One of the thing that I HIGHLY recommend for anyone who rents is for you to get a Bilt Credit Card. It's a credit card that allows you to pay your rental amount without any fees and you get travel point benefits from it. It has no annual fees either. Once you accrue enough points, you can transfer these points to different airlines and hotels for free travel.

Other perks that the Bilt Mastercard earns:
  • Up to 5 points per dollar on Lyft rides.
  • 3 points per dollar on dining.
  • 2 points per dollar on travel (when booked directly with an airline, hotel, car rental or cruise company or through the Bilt travel portal).
  • 1 point per dollar on rent (up to 100,000 points per calendar year.)
  • 1 point per dollar on everything else.
  • Cell phone protection
  • Trip cancellation insurance
  • No foreign transaction fees

Just ditched our Amex Plat and signed up for Delta Reserve. Didn't get a SUB because wifey had a Delta Plat back in the day before moving to Phx, then she cancelled since Phx and Delta weren't jiving....so eff our SUB.

Works better for us. Plat was great and I got my use of the annual fee, but Delta helps us further our goals. Being Delta/Marriot loyalists we have both of their premium cards plus the Amex gold for scooping up 4X on groceries and restaurants. Feels funny walking into a Resy reservation and asking them to put $20 on Delta reserve (for the $20 credit) and the rest on Amex gold (points), once a month.

Thanks, another rabbit hole for me to go down.
You really have no idea how far I've gone. Don't know if I will ever to come out of it! Here's just a sample of some screenshots of a spreadsheet that I track things in. :biglaugh:

Dude, I thought I was obsessed...lol
It's sick. In a good and bad way. It definitely belongs in the Things that Suck and Rule thread.
