My cousin got to see a pre-screening. He said if you liked the orginal or are just a movie Nerd you will LOVE this movie. He said its pure eye candy with an average script. Can't wait to see it.
So far all the comments here neglect to mention the best part of Tron Legacy. The musical score by the French electronic duo Daft Punk is amazing. The movie itself was pretty cool, but the music...unreal.

Just listened to it and made me realize even more I dont want to see it. That music is a headache waiting to happen.

You have no taste Shane and I dislike you for it immensely.

Shane and I don't agree on anything, but I do agree with him on Daft Punk. Mindless, soulless garbage.
I'm not much into electronic music (unless you count something like Transformer Man or Sample and Hold during Neil Young's brief foray into the genre) but it seemed to fit the trailer perfectly. For those of you that don't want to see the movie because of the soundtrack, what kind of music do you think would have fit better?
Steve
I don't want to see it because tron does nothing for me. The music in that trailer and all of it that is likely throughout the entire movie it is safe to assume. Just isn't my cup of tea and only further enhances my not wanting to see it. It is 100% nauseating. I feel like I should be in a club popping ecstasy while it's playing.
The artistic creativity of electronic music is, in my opinion, unparalleled by any other genre of music. It can raise emotions high and low all within a couple scales. Daft Punk has mastered this art. Those who cannot appreciate QUALITY electronic music are probably the same people who cannot appreciate classical music. There is an inner-beauty that I admit not everyone can appreciate. [steps off soap box]. Oh, and FYI, IMO the "Derrezed" song, which is the song played during the trailer, is not even in the top 10 songs of the movie.
