If Hambrick gains the 1000 yards and 7 TDs that Dennis Green predicted for Marcel Shipp this season, wave goodbye to #31. Hambrick is more stout, has equivalent speed (neither can turn the corner of have a second gear in the open field), and can find the end zone. In equivalent action last season, Troy Hambrick found the end zone 5 times to however many Marcel scored.

There's a competition for who is going to be the Moe Williams/Leroy Hoard for Dennis Green. Marcel had his audition in 2003. If Hambrick reaches the 1000 yard plateau, or scores 7 TDs, Shipp is toast.

Flame away.

i would only agree that it would be hard for shipp to come back and be the guy. he will definetly have to compete for a position because I am sure DG will draft an RB next year. he may have missed his opporitunity due to an unfortunate injury.

I would agree and it becomes especially true if we draft an RB in round 2 as I suspect we will.

I think we need to see how Hambone's 'tude shakes out. If he's a problem child, then he won't stick around after this year.

We'll be drafting a back near the top of the draft (or nabbing a S. Alexander calibre back in FA) next year.

I think The SHIP will be back and most likely 22 will sail off into the sunset.

There's some mighty big IF's in there Kerouac-

Hambrick ran behind an offensive line in Dallas last year, that made the playoffs, and Hambrick was the #1 option.

Marcell ran behind an offensive line that finished 4-12, and dead last in most offensive catagory's, AND was the #2 option.

Is this what you mean by "equivelant action?"

Not only that, but Marcell has his own bobblehead.

If Hambrick's attitude is right...

If Hambrick outperforms Shipp...

If Hambrick is in shape...

If Hambrick fulfills these things (and that's a lot of ifs) then Shipp should be job-hunting next year.

and most likely #22 will sail off into the sunset..................he signed a two year contract which is over after this year. Green would NEVER NEVER allow for an extention on this one........thank god!

It doiesn't matter because next offseason - we do one of two things - we throw a whole lot of jack at Travis Henry who will be a free agent or our first pick will be a stud RB in the draft - bank on it. DG needs speed at RB and he'll get it after this season.

Running Back
5-7; 180

Wow. He is even bigger than Duane Sparks...maybe he hasn't hit his growth spurt yet.

VERY nimble back...and he better be...
He's got a 411 lb bench press and a 836 lb squat. You cannot arm tackle #43.
4.3 speed and holds KSU's agility records.
He's an ankle breaker, not an ankle biter.

Please. Dallas' line was not overly talented aside from Flozell Adams. Hambrick and Marcel had about the same YPC, and Hambrick had only 20 more carries. I guess next you'll tell me that all 20 of those extra carries were in the red zone, where all Marcel can do is fumble, right?

Section 11 are rating Sproles based on his ratings on PS2?

Allow me to introduce Section 11's new and improved Stephen Jackson.

For a guy with 8 career TD's, Moe Williams is a big jump.

BTW, Shipp had more TD's 2 years ago than Hambrick in his career.

The biggest question is will he be the same after the injury.

The 0 TD's sucks, but he proved the year before he could score, or do you think he got lucky 9 times?

I know amazing stats...durability in the NFL?
Even as a true freshman, Sproles had an imapct. His season was cut short by a shoulder injury...

Is that a beach-ball he is carrying?...

Kerouac-

I'm not gonna stick up for any cowpuke players, even if they're once removed.

I'm all for a free agent running back next year, and perhaps a 3rd or 4th rounder in the draft.
