Way way way too early for fantasy drafts bro. Pull out of those leagues asap if you pay to play.
One of the two is dynasty and was just the rookie draft... the other is a standard redraft, but it was a friend's birthday and we had a couple of dudes flying into Vegas to make it a birthday weekend and early draft.

I pay into both, but it's not that bad to get together with friends.

I suppose but with an entire pre season to go and tons of practice for me not worth drafting early when money is riding on it. Too many injuries.

What rounds in each draft did u go for Murray
Well, I tabbed him in the first round of a two-round rookie draft for dynasty (we start 1 QB and an offensive utility, so QB is at a premium), and then in the middle of round 9. I'd actually been targeting Mayfield, but I had drafted both Odell and Landry, so I couldn't put all of my chips on one team. I picked up Russell Wilson to hedge my bet a little, and I'll probably start him week 1 until I can get a pulse on Kyler's week-to-week value.

My draft is labor day, after the preseason games.
I'm in 7 leagues, so it has to be spread out. I have two on Labor Day weekend, one next weekend, and the others will probably be after the 3rd preseason game.

Not if it is a best ball league. Lots of those drafting now.

Not sure how that equates… Of course you don’t have to set your lineup every week and it’s going to give you the optimal points for your roster no matter what.. However if you still draft injured players the chance on your roster being more optimal each week goes down...

jesus christ man

I was in two leagues once and it was overwhelming. no thank you.
It's a bit of a chore... each Tuesday night is basically getting home from work, researching, and making my moves. But it's a great bonding thing with my groups of friends.

I know some people might think it's lame, and I said it in another thread, but I don't plan on getting married or having kids, so I have to keep my social life alive.

If I even had one kid, I don't think I'd have any hobbies or interests. I'm already exhausted enough from work and complaining about Kyler Murray on a message board.

2 leagues is all I can take
Tried more in the way past....it’s just dumb
You end up rooting for and against the same guy
And don’t get me started in free leagues....they’re the worst

I never understood this - I prefer banter to the money. Especially in Vegas, where I can bet on everything. If I was financially motivated, I'd just go hit the sportsbook.

I get the same banter and have something riding on it to boot... Win win.. Avoid sports books like the plague now.

Well, I only have one unpaid league, but I've been in it for nearly 20 years. So that's a special exception I guess.

I listen to Sirius Fantasy Sports radio at work and they call it "Best ball draft season" and there are a ton of huge money leagues drafting now.

Not sure why it is, but it is a thing

People don't try. There is nothing to compete for. Skin in the game creates value and competition. Changes everything.
