Tyreke Evans' cousin was sentenced to 9 to 20 years yesterday for a drive-by shooting.

According to Tom Ziller, Tyreke was the driver in the crime.

Expect him to drop. Rapidly.

Oops.

Who was it a couple of years ago whose stock plummeted because he was stealing laptops in college? Portland ended up picking him up in the 20s, I think.

UConn PG Marcus Williams. Went to the Nets. Now in Golden St., I believe.

So he didn't exactly pan out, I take it. I guess sometimes when these guys fall, it's actually just as well for the teams that reluctantly pass on them.

"Hey I know you got the draft coming up, but I have to go kill someone and need a driver..."

Was Ziller playing this off as a scoop or something? It is out there, but the kid wasn't charged.

He wasn't charged, but family members are saying he should have been. Ziller used it to point out the timing of the sentencing might (or perhaps should) make some teams look back in their profile archives and remember there's a big red flag on Evans. He thinks a lot of teams have forgotten about it.

Would not surprise me. NBA execs are dumb that way. (I mean that this is something not to be overlooked, but it is overlooked because the NBA staffes are dimbulbs)

Can't you see some team drafting him and the owner learning of the red flag for the first time as the kid's walking up to the podium? And he asks the staff to explain why he wasn't told of this, and they all have this look on their face like, "I thought you were going to tell him about it!"
