20+ point win huh? F*** Xavier Johnson.

Kid is so mad that Arizona didn't recruit him that he's created his own personal rivalry against us. Usually he plays us well, but he probably put too much pressure on himself.

Either way, you can't write checks that your mouth cant cash.

Arguably, our best game of the season.

I would love to see Gordon play like that every game. I also like how Miller has inserted York in the starting line-up. If he can continue to hit from the outside, that will help the inside game. He also is a good rebounder.

I didn't see that much of the game but the part I did see UA was playing decidedly more up tempo which plays right into the strengths of Gordon.

As long as Gordon isn't bringing up the ball it is. He had one play in the first half where he brought the ball up when the offense was set, went iso, and had the most unusual drive and miss on the basket.

I think it's a confidence issue for Gordon. He can make all of the shots on the court, with the exception from the freethrow strip. He just needs to do it.

IMO, those two threes he hit send a message to other coaches that they can no longer play off of him on the perimeter and have to come out from the painted area, which means more looks under the basket for Zeus and penetration for Johnson.

But yeah, the tempo was much more fast paced, and I think the team can play uptempo without losing much of a step on defense. They're going to have to when/if they go up against more elite defenses in the tourney.

Gordon loves to dribble, his HS coach let him do it as a senior as a tradeoff to keep him happy. The problem is he's often just good enough to get himself in trouble which is why you see some of those high turnover games.

On the shooting right now AG can't shoot, outside of a few feet if he makes a shot it's gravy. So him hitting 2 threes IMO is fools gold, and I'd bet anything the UA staff is telling him the same thing, don't get silly now and start jacking those up it's not your game.

In transition he's unstoppable he can handle it just well enough to get near the rim and then he just goes over everybody. In the halfcourt you back off him and make him make multiple jumpshots before you change. Great defender, great rebounder, very good passer, not a good shooter.

I think he ought to stay at UA anohter year but I doubt he will.

UCLA has a similar situation with Norman Powell where the coaches remade his shot this offseason and Powell got off to a horrendous start from 3 at one point he was shooting 15%. Alford kept saying he's starting to get comfortable, you can see it in practice. All of a sudden Powell has hit 8 of 13 from 3. But you absolutely don't want him shooting them left and right, he's never made more than 35% in college and he's still not a good enough shooter you want him taking anything but wide open 3s. But he's a junior and seems to get that, you would worry a freshman like Gordon might not.

If UA keeps playing that tempo and Nick keeps shooting like that they will go a long ways in the tourney.

You can just see how much more fun the guys are having now that they're playing at a higher pace. They were buying in on defense all year and now it's like they're being rewarded by getting more freedom on offense.

Cal just completely lost composure last night, I gotta wonder if this is Monty's last year.

Not so bad for a guy who can't coach...

With the athletes they have there's no point in not letting them go especially with how Mayes and Pitts being passable in their brief minutes to spell guys. That block/dime by Johnson late in the first half was one of the plays of the year.

He's got the talent to let them run not sure why he waited so long to do it but it sure seems to me he has loosened the reins now.

They look awfully good right now that's for sure, last 2 games probably as good as they've played all year.

The key is as the players said after the game, if we make shots we're pretty tough to handle, which is where I think the up tempo comes into play, they are getting better shots quicker.

Team is playing confident on the offensive side of the ball, which is helping the team chemistry even more. I've never seen the team so elated on the court. That dime from Bunnies to RHJ for the dunk was smooth. The reaction was even better. Is it march yet?

I actually thought the block was much better than the pass. Cobbs is not some 6 foot PG he's 6'3", when it happened live I thought for sure Nick fouled him the way Cobbs went down. Then on the replay you can see he got all ball, totally clean it was just momentum that took Cobbs down.

the pass was great but the block to me was spectacular.

I've become accustomed to those Bunnies blocks since the SDSU game Christmas 2012. I'm more impressed with his vision on that play to make the pass to RHJ. The old NJ would've tried to force something up.

Still fuming about Kyle and Jordan getting themselves suspended and costing UCLA a game last night. Absolutely amazing game, the finish to regulation was just off the charts good.

I have no clue what they did, all sorts of rumors, I know it wasn't positive drug test but beyond that nobody seems to be saying. It's a one game suspension and it was coaches decision not school or conference or NCAA but Alford did say it wasn't the first time it had happened and they'd been warned before.

The team really rallied together in the 2nd half, hope this turns out to help but man whatever they did I hope it was worth it the way they let the team down last night. Glad Alford took action though, you gotta have rules.

Why were they suspended? What "team rules" did they violate?

Aaron Holiday commits to UCLA as expected for 2015. Good get he's developing into a terrific prospect, more of an undersized combo guard but he's transitioning to the PG position.

Still want to see Alford try and make up ground and get Simon but he's behind UA on him. I would have actually liked to see UCLA pursue Jeremy Hemsley but it looks like they were concerned about 2 guards in the same class who aren't really good shooters and they clearly preferred Holiday since they haven't offered Hemsley yet.

What is up with the Oregon BBall floor?

I know it's supposed to be trees, but looks like the color scheme of diarrhea and vomit.

It's disgusting. Almost as bad as the last part of the 2nd half.

I predicted this loss. Wish I would've put some money on this game. Arizona had almost nothing to play for and UO had everything to lose.

Hope this team plays more motivated moving forward. The stakes are now obviously higher.

Satellite Radio for me. If you're a ute fan, you might not want to watch

I've been able to watch plenty of games online this year, but appears the site is really slow and not working properly. Tried it in Chrome and IE. Can't even log in. Oh and NOT Ute fan TJ :)

Im on break from work and just logged in. Working fine for me with the occasional refresh. Chrome is my browser.

I hated this matchup coming in and thought there'd be a good chance that we'd lose. Fortunately, I'm wrong.

That's weird, maybe it was my system. Either way I caught the 2nd half during lunch.
