JoJo Ward - 180 yards and 4 TD's vs Oregon State

Condensed game, so you can just skip the Hawaii defensive series.

I've gotta agree. How do some people end up evaluating these guys? It's super impressive.

I'm a single dude with no one telling me what to do, and even I can't find the time to sit down and watch some of these teams play, much less key in on a specific position.

Sidebar: I had a buddy who was just obsessed with betting here in Vegas, and ESPN "The Ocho" was probably dedicated to him. He's the kind of guy you'd catch watching NCAA D3 women's volleyball and knowing the players.
I know some of the guys just from betting on college football. Every year I normally read Athlons and Phil Steele’s previews. Most the games are on ESPN+. Central Michigan is part of the MAC which plays every Wednesday and is a bettors dream fills the gap until Saturday.

I’m not sure about top 5

New Orleans
Tampa
Denver
Chiefs
Dallas
Browns

I think I like all of their receiver groups a little better than the cards.
I'm not sure about top five, but feel we're better than Denver, and it's not even close.

The Cardinals got a talent that is vastly better than anyone those teams added save Wills going to the Browns.

Simmons was a top 3 player.

New Orleans, without Michael Thomas, had 700 yards receiving from their other receivers.

Denver, without Sutton, had only 900 yards from others.

Without their top receivers, they look similar to what we had last year. The other teams I can agree with. Hopkins vastly improves what we had last year though.

Well, Central Michigan is a D1 FBS school so it’s not that hard to watch them. Games usually come on during the weekdays.

Towson & Holy Cross on the other hand, never watched them. Much harder to watch them.
My wife is a Towson alum.

One injury away from depending on guys who couldnt beat out Pharoh Cooper and Damiere Byrd. Just was my overall observation of not adding any other talented WR along with Hopkins. However, I'll have nothing more to say on it.

If you believe in Kyler, you’d feel confident that he could bolster the value of all of his receivers.

Anything on Michael Turk P from ASU? I saw that he might be signing with the Bills but nothing official and nothing on his twitter.

Wish we could have had a better UDFA haul but still love our offseason!

It’s clear the Cards were concerned about their CB depth as their best UDFAs appear to be there.

Zane Lewis. This cousin of Shawn Springs is not a ball hawk only making 2 interceptions. Incredibly he returned both 99 yds for pick sixes. Oddly he’s mostly solid at breaking up passes due to solid body control and agility. He has a good height to speed ratio but sometimes gets nervous and commits penalties. He’s also not strong enough to press. This concern also produces some weak tackling efforts. This is a high effort player who seems very teachable. If he can build self confidence and his core strength, he might be a find and a decent NFL player. There’s a new service exemption program that Lewis has applied to get passed the military obligation.

Jace Whittaker. This is a name well known to many of those on the board. He’s one of those undersized players who does well in college but will struggle to transition to the NFL. He’s a bit of a ballhawk who always comes ready to play. He’s fun to watch as he reminds me of my little dog who thinks he’s several times bigger than he is. Long shot special teams contributor.

Jarred Williams. I know only one weird thing about this guy. Similar to Lewis he returned his only interception for a TD.

We have a really young secondary at this point.

I would imagine if we need another one...we will need to sign a veteran.

PP21
Alford
Budda (3rd year)

Then a bunch of youngsters.

Dallas? Hopkins Fitz Kirk>Cooper Gallup Lamb. Denver is a stretch as well. I don’t think people realize we have what many people say is the current best WR in the league as well as one of the best of all time who still has hands of Velcro.

I realize it. Fitz is a below avg starter at this point. Kirk is avg no 3. Without Hopkins we would be one of the worst receiver groups.

Yeah, but New Orleans just signed Emanuel Sanders who is a very good Number 2.

Other team I forgot about was the Chargers.

I doubt it.

We had a younger secondary last year. Alford got injured/Swearinger got released early in the season & we still didn’t pick up a veteran.

Think the staff wants to stay young, which is great.

I live in Penn State country. My friends are a bit of the homer types, but they loved Steve Gonzalez. Kid is 6'4" / 341 lbs. Nicknamed "The Freak". Named All Big 10 2nd team by both the Coaches & Associated Press. Started all 13 games as a LG. Was a 3 year starter & Saquon Barkley's favorite O-Linemen. They were very surprised he wasn't drafted.

Agree, I think he may be the best of the UDFA signings by the Cards. Could compete this year for a backup OG spot.

Buyer beware.

Each year, a few of our UDFA "signings" turn out to be bogus.

We'd be well advised to keep our panties dry and wait for the official release from Cardinal Hq.

That said - looks like a pretty salty group.

Still surprised Trey Adams didn't get drafted but happy that he signed with the Bills.

Feel bad for the guy...he was considered on of/the top OT and then got cratered by injuries.

The one thing this offseason will prevent is guys to be rookie camp invites/try outs. We always have a couple that come in and knock off one of the UDFAs prior to training camp. Missed opportunities for some kids for sure.
