Anyone aware of any hidden gems?
In years past they were our only hope. Thanks to Denny those days are over.

I remember when it seemed like we would sign like 15-20 of these guys before every camp. I am willing to bet Green only brings in a half dozen or so and everyone will be of higher quality.

Wow, I just realized that T.A. McLendon wasn't drafted.

Interesting.

Would love to see Browner brought in.

Correction Scaife went late in the 6th to the Titans. Cross him off your list.

Victor Sesay
Height: 6-6
Weight: 255
Position: TE
College: Missouri

OVERVIEW
One of the top junior college tight ends in the country coming out of Ventura College, Victor was called by the Tigers coaching staff an impact player who can do it all – catch, run and block. He missed a large portion of the 2004 spring practice period recovering from knee surgery that prematurely ended his 2003 season, but was eventually cleared to return to full contact, and looked good rather quickly.

Sesay attended Albert Einstein High School, where he was a Parade Magazine second-team All-American and Metro Conference Player of the Year as a senior. He caught 43 passes for 835 yards and 12 touchdowns during his final year. He had a dominant performance that year against Walter Johnson High School when he made eight catches for 165 yards and four touchdowns. He was also a standout in the sport of basketball.

After graduating from high school, he spent two seasons at Ventura (Cal.) Junior College.

He earned second-team All-American honors after he caught 38 passes for 685 yards and eight scores as a freshman. He also had 20 catches for 285 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore.

Sesay saw action in nine games during his first season at Missouri in 2003. He suffered his knee injury vs. Colorado, but finished the year with fifteen catches for 154 yards and three touchdowns. He was counted on to handle tight end duties during the 2004 season, but uninspired play, perhaps brought upon by his 2003 knee injury, saw him start only four of eleven games. He still finished third on the team with 31 receptions for 314 yards (10.1 avg) and two scores. Sixteen of those catches and both of his touchdowns came in the team's first four contests.

In twenty games at Missouri, he totaled 46 receptions for 468 yards (10.2 avg) and five touchdowns. For his collegiate career, he managed 104 catches for 1438 yards (13.8 avg) and sixteen scores.

ANALYSIS
Positives … Big target who has the size, natural strength and quick feet to be an effective catcher to operate in traffic … Stays on his feet when engaging the larger defenders … Some-what active with his hands when assisting vs. the pass rush … Adjusts well to the off-target passes … Swings his hips around and can recover with his feet after making the initial block … Agile in his release and shows crisp route running skills in the short area … Smooth and fluid route runner who gets in and out of his cuts well … Has the strength and speed to run through arm tackles.

Negatives … Active with his hands, but has developed "short arm" (keeps his arms close to the body rather than extending them) when called upon to block vs. the edge rush … Needs to improve his lower leg strength, as the more physical defenders can slip past his blocks … Lunges and gets knocked off balance too easily coming out of his stance … Body-catcher who lacks consistency with his hands … Deliberate when firing out to neutralize linebackers upfield … Too passive and rarely shows aggression, especially as a blocker … Needs to totally refine his blocking technique … Stays too upright in his stance, lacking good knee bend and is constantly leaning into the defender rather than extending his arms to gain leverage … Despite his quickness, he does not demonstrate much urgency getting into his routes … Lacks explosion and burst to stretch the defenses and make plays down field … Will not extend or go to his knees to get to the off-target throws … Does not generate enough power to gain movement blocking off the snap.

INJURY REPORT
2003-Sat out the Texas A&M, Kansas State, Iowa State and Arkansas games after he ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee vs. Colorado (11/08) … The injury would side-line him until 2004 fall camp.

AGILITY
Campus: 4.88 in the 40-yard dash … 4.33 20-yard shuttle … 11.98 60-yard shuttle … 7.46 three cone drill … 335-pound bench press … Bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times … 370-pound squat … 256-pound power clean … 28.5-inch vertical jump … 9'0" broad jump … 33 ¾-inch arm length … 9-inch hands … Right-handed … 13/45 Wonderlic score.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Albert Einstein High School in Washington, D.C., playing football for coach Ed Ashwell … Parade Magazine second-team All-American and Metro Conference Player of the Year … Had 43 receptions for 835 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior … Caught eight passes for 165 yards and 4 scores in a dominant performance that year against Walter Johnson High School … Was also a standout in the sport of basketball.

PERSONAL
Journalism major … Son of Kandeh & Esther Sesay … Born Victor Olukandeh Sesay on 11/19/80 … Resides in Silver Springs, Maryland.

I was just thinking the same thing. Sucks to be him. He came out early.

And Browner came out as a sophmore. Really bad decision.

Bergen's the one guy that really jumps out. We need help at TE. Holmes is a little short for a TE, but he'd be worth bringing in. He's a good blocker.

The other guy who's intriguing is Rosegreen.

Shazor used to be on everyone's short list, but I read somewhere where he was time somewhere south of 4.7.

Browner was timed in the mid 4.6 range. Maybe he dropped down the charts out of the 2nd or 3rd round, but what's to lose if you bring him in as an UDFA?

Any chance the Cards will announce signing any of these UDFA's today?

What about Walter Reyes? Don't know much about him but I kept seeing his name when it came to the next best RB's after the top 3.

I can't believe he went undrafted. He's way better than Scobey or Croom or Anderson. I hope they snag him.

Harris wasn't drafted because who wants a 27 yr old rookie RB?
