I'd like to think this might encourage networks to take more chances on sci-fi during the summer and maybe they'd stumble into something smarter than they imagined. That's how it started for a couple of cable channels that put out some great content now.

This show has subliminal messages in it or something. Because I think it is the dumbest most implausible piece of crap I've ever seen on TV, and I CANT STOP WATCHING IT.
it's like O and Stout said, it's like watching MST3000 or something.
My favorite part of this episode was
When the girl FINALLY got out of the basement and she goes back to her house and Junior is there waiting for her and says; "I knew you'd come here." NO freaking $%$ Sherlock, that's her house. And then, to cap off the stupidity, he says "I'm sorry" And she forgives him for kidnapping her and holding her prisoner for a week.
It's the stupidest show ever, I have no idea why I keep watching it.
I don't know about that.... just about as stupid was....
When the minister tells the crooked town council member that he's got 24 hours to spill the beans about his evil plan or the minister will tell everyone himself.... and then the evil council member kills him before the 24 hours is up. Who'd a thunk?
That's not hard to believe. I know I've heard of it raining in some of the gigantic hangars that used to be built for dirigibles and such. I think it rains at a Naval Air station in New Jersey too if you can trust W.E.B. Griffin (author). I'm not sure how likely it would be in a fully enclosed dome as you wouldn't have the changes in humidity and such that you'd get in an enclosure that opens and closes but still, I don't think it's in the shocking range.
This show is perfectly summed up by me saying that the fact that it rained in "the Dome" is one of the easier things to stomach thus far. ROFL
My summary for the most recent Monday episode is simple...
You must be registered for see images attach
EXCEPT that it should read as follows:
"EVERYBODY PANIC AND RUN AROUND SCREAMING AND MURDERING EVERYONE!!!!"
Good lord this show is bad. So deliciously bad to the point that it's one of those things where I am forced to wonder: Are all the writers, actors, directors in on the gag? Do they write/direct/act in a scene and then when the "cut" everyone giggles and is like; "dude that was so lame it was funny and awesome." or are they like; "Bro we're probably going to like, win an Emmy cuz that scene was like, powerful and stuff..."
As a hardcore Dr. Who fan, I can say that corny, implausible science does not preclude a great show. But you better show me witty dialogue and characters I can care about. Even SG-1 was intentionally corny most of the time, which made it more charming than goofy.
I think people with Nielsen boxes are watching something else on CBS and forgetting to turn the TV off when this show comes on.
I have been watching this season just to see how bad it can keep getting and to see how badly it ends. Now that is has been renewed, I seem to care much less.
Why not? It fogs inside big hangars. Moffett Field in Mountain View, CA was famous for that the hangar almost had it's own weather system and it rained inside according to people that worked there. I was at a show there in the mid 80's and during the tour they told us it rained inside there regularly.
Water evaporates, turns into clouds, and it fogs and rains. Supposedly they had to make modifications to the hangar to prevent the rain because it interfered with operations.

I have heard some of those stories as well but hose facilities had some sort of ventilation systems that had access to the outside. This Dome scenario is suppose to be some impenetrable shield. Totally different.
Here is the thing, many of King's stories have a supernatural element which I think the show is hinting at with the characters last week saying that the Dome is providing for them. Up to this point they have been shying away from really going there which made the show more implausibly ridiculous.
This is probably a good development because once you introduce the supernatural all bets are off and anything is possible. I think they should have established this from the get go but I wonder if that is why the ratings are doing so well? Maybe people wanted less twilight zone and more Lost?!?!!?
OK, I threw up a little in my mouth putting either of the shows in the same post as this show.

I disagree. Each time they go over the top, Dr. Who gets more stupid. The writing on that show has become more and more lazy, the stupid science 'solutions' have been killing it, and unless the new Doctor completely reinvigorates it, I'm out.

Not watching the show so I don't know but I assume they still have water?
If the sun gets through the dome, they're still getting evaporation and that could still cause it to rain. Of course I assume the dome would fog up first from all that water vapor, and then clouds would form and you'd assume they've notice all that before it rained.
Apparently there's even some anecdotal evidence of rain inside domed stadiums but again they have HVAC and ventilation systems. I have to assume they do in this dome too, even if they're not aware of it, otherwise these people would all have died already from all the oxygen being depleted. I doubt they have enough trees and plants to make enough oxygen to create a self sustaining system inside the dome.

Although I agree that Dpctpr Who is off the track of late I also agree with Matt. The often corny and implausible science did nothing to deter from the greatness the first several seasons. I've given up on the show already although I do plan on giving it another go with the new Doctor. Unfortunately, unless they also bring in new writers, I don't think it will make much of a difference.

Yeah, the first few seasons were fine with the silly science, but the whole 'we'll fool time with a silly robot and thus save all existence' was sheer stupidity. Bad, lazy writing.
OMG...... The trailers for tonight's show make this look like the worst episode yet (who'd a thunk it could possibly get worse!) In the simplest of terms, O.....M.....G.....
