The best review I could give for this show (so far) is "meh." While an interesting concept, it's way overdone on the "interesting characters." I think people who flunked out of soap opera writers school put this together. I have no idea what King's actual story on this is, but what I saw was simply eye-rolling, IMHO. I will watch another episode or two, just to find out if it can actually get any worse.

Sounds a bit like a summer series that fizzled a few years ago, Persons Unknown. Hopefully it will work better than that series did. I haven't watched Dome yet, I'll wait till it's near its season end so I can marathon it if it proves worthy.

Awful. Simply awful. A definite step down from the first.There's so much wrong here that I won't waste my time describing it all, but the house fire sequence was absolutely horrid (and with over 30 years fighting fire, I know what I'm talking about.)

Yeah my gf watched the first one all the way through, she turned off last nights about 25 minutes in. I was already trying to sleep she said "not worth staying up for."

We may try it on On Demand later but it sounds like it's pretty bad.

My problem is that the characters are so unappealing and the terrible little situational holes so plentiful that I just can't buy into any of it. I realize that "it's a movie, Garth," but come on! Give us something more solid to stand on.

Only one of the big differences from the book, we had characters to like to worry about and to pull for. In the miniseries no one stands out as someone to care about yet, as mentioned they are all so unappealing I don't care that they are stuck under the dome.

As one of his Constant Readers I enjoyed the book a lot and am confess to being one of those who don't favor the changes in the TV show. As written I always have the book if I want to go back to Chester Mills and I don't have to continue with the show---even though I probably will --- my hope is that the lack of appeal of the mini series does not keep those who have not yet read it from checking out the book.

I watched two episodes and wont watch another. This show is so bad and just FILLED with "what the hell, NOBODY would do that" moments, even for a Steven King gig, it's beyond bad. Interesting premise, terrible execution.

Just based upon the first two episodes and the previews for the next two, I can't even bring myself to turn it on. If I could, I would schedule all my dental work during the same time as the show: It would be less painful.....

My wife made me sit through tonight's episode and it was hard, as I kept throwing up in my mouth. What a horribly predictable, stupid, totally implausible show. If my wife has a similar idea next week, I might have to run away from home.....

Terrible.... just terrible (still).


p.s. Sweet weepin' gee-a-zuz. I was hoping that the MOAB they detonated tonight would break open the dome and kill everyone.... then we could be done with this pos of a television show.

I am enjoying it. Not that it's great or anything but to me this has that Amazing stories, Twilight Zone episode kind of vibe to it. Only really dragged out. LOL.

I don't think it's going to last but I will keep watching.

This show has subliminal messages in it or something. Because I think it is the dumbest most implausible piece of crap I've ever seen on TV, and I CANT STOP WATCHING IT.

My favorite part of this episode was

When the girl FINALLY got out of the basement and she goes back to her house and Junior is there waiting for her and says; "I knew you'd come here." NO freaking $%$ Sherlock, that's her house. And then, to cap off the stupidity, he says "I'm sorry" And she forgives him for kidnapping her and holding her prisoner for a week.

It's the stupidest show ever, I have no idea why I keep watching it.
