The only two I can really think of are American History X and Deep Cover.

There's a lot that could be in this thread.

The Girl Next Door
Dark City
The Crow
The Green Mile

A lot of my list of "The 20 movies you should see before you die" are all underrated.

I think Blade Runner is overrated... but that's just me.

I think so. It is a mainstream movie that pretty much flew under the radar.

I'll say Leon (AKA The Professional). It seems like most people haven't seen this.

Good movie, and one that I had on my 20 list, at least if I didn't, I should.

I'm not joking when I put this next film out there as underated. It suffered from a very poor title, IMO.

Big trouble in Little China

I'm not saying it's a great flick or anything, it's just much better than anyone expects.

Um... yeah.

It generally is considered a "teen movie" in the canon of the American Pie movies, but in reality, it's much more than that--it appeals to teens, no question, but I think it's primary audience are late-20s/early-30s males who view it as a nostalgia piece. At least, the director (Luke Greenfield) hints to that in the commentary for the movie on the DVD.

When I think of underrated, I think of movies that are really good, but not appreciated or thought of as good.

This movie sucked...are you kidding me?

I own it, good one...

I own it too, but have never watched it. Might have to bump it up the depth chart.

You thought Girl Next Door sucked? Seriously? Wow, I'd think you'd really enjoy it, you're about the right age. I'm honestly really surprised you didn't like it. A terrific little movie. It's no Casablanca, but it is pretty solid.

Yes, and like I wrote in a previous post, the primary target age group is "our" age. That is straight from the director, not just my opinion. And what is with "Michael"? That's weird.
