The Cardinals will have to make roster room for 24 rookie free agents, provided they all pass physicals etc. 90 is the limit. team has 99 w/these additions

Andrew Vollert's vids look pretty good. Supposedly 4.54 40, 6-5 and had 1200 yds and 12 tds. I would say considering the cardinals considerable lack of TE's, he should have a good chance of sticking.

CB Deatrick Nichols ran a 4.37 at USF pro day with 37 inch verts....smallish but looks like a keeper.

Brain farts allowed after three days of following the draft . . . also allowed for just getting out of bed in the morning.

I've been waiting to comment on a new thread. Waiting to be the 10th poster so I can say 'There were 9 mistakes before me.'

Nice. Double Nice.

This WR Jonah Trinnaman is quite interesting.

He ran a 4.3 and 4.31 40 at his pro day, 12 foot broad jump, and a 41 inch vertical all of which were better than any WR at the combine.

Apparently his coaches were considering moving him to CB so that may be the cards idea as well. He only had 53 catches for 626 yds at BYU.

You have no way of knowing if these late rd picks were taken too soon.

Grrr all you want but Tony Jefferson was a UDFA hit that SK got.

Jefferson’s talent was identified by many. He was a risk not a find at least from my perspective. SK took a risk and it paid off with a supplemental pick. I don’t consider his short tenature a hit.

Supplemental pick? He was UDFA.

Jefferson was an early round talent who left school early and didn't time well. Guys that are really hit or miss, it seems that they are too slow or they play fast and the 40 time doesn't matter.

The flip side of this situation is Scooby Wright who was an early round talent based on college film and he really was as slow as his timed speed. He's just not fast enough, nor quick enough to be an NFL player. Wright is one of those guys that teams are literally looking for replacements for every year because just know that if a starter goes down, Wright isn't good enough to play a lot snaps.

Another Cardinal that I can remember that fell because of timed speed who had a successful career, although most of it not with the Cardinals was Renaldo Hill. His college tape showed an NFL starter, but he ran like a 4.65 so he fell to the 7th round. He was a gamer though, and generally played pretty well for a slower player.

TJ was a starter for us on a D that was excellent. He got PAID in FA because he is very good at football so I'm not sure why you don't think he is a hit. Any UDFA that plays for you as a starter is a hit, then factor in he gets you a comp pick because he signed a big FA contract. That's creating a draft pick out of nothing IMO.

I agree 100% and another thing to consider is that just because a player doesn't run well at the t-shirt Olympics doesn't mean they can't be fast enough in pads. Some can carry their pads well and don't lose any speed, and others when they put the pads on slow down considerably.

Bottom line was that the guy made plays and executed his assignments well enough to be trusted by the coaches.

No matter what his 40 time or 3-Cone score was or what college program he came out of or why he was or wasn't an UDFA - he got the job done from the day he set foot on the practice field to when he took the field in real games.

I don't view TJ as much of a risk - each year the Cards bring in a bunch of rooks - some of them do better than expected...some disappoint...some are (for better or worse) as- advertised. TJ, when signed, was one of the good decisions. There will be others.

His free agency loss helped gain a supplemental pick for the cards.

Cardinals' Jalen Tolliver: Signing contract with Arizona
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Tolliver has signed a contract with the Cardinals, Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Tolliver (6-foot-3, 210 pounds) went undrafted out of Arkansas-Monticello this spring, but he's nonetheless a high-upside addition who already possesses impressive ball skills and an NFL-ready frame. However, he could be in store for a rough transition to the pro level coming from a Division II school. Tolliver is likely competing with four other receivers for one potential roster spot in Arizona.

In case you forgot or were wondering, the Cardinals We meet with Tolliver before the draft.
Tolliver is probably not a candidate to draft, but having him for an official visit is likely lining him up to be a priority free agent. Such was the case for Carlton Agudosi last year, who is on the roster still after spending most of the season on the practice squad, then getting promoted to the active roster for the final weeks of 2017.

Expect to see his name come across social media Saturday night and Sunday after the draft as a player joining the Cardinals.
