Hey im surprised k9 hasnt said anything yet about them having us taking Sopoaga.
Ask, and you shall recieve.
I'm skeptical about Sopoaga still being at the top of the third round, but I like it if he's there (in my initial Cards Mock, I had us trading up to get him with our third, fifth, and a 2005 fourth). The Cards can't sit there and bank on Marcus Bell or Barron Tanner suddenly being good.
I don't really like the Losman pick, but I do think that there's a possibility that if a team like the Packers doesn't pick a QB late in the first round, then we might be able to extort them to move up to get him. In my opinion, the #33 overall pick has a greater chance of being traded than the #3 overall. I wonder if the Cards could get a lower second, a fourth/fifth, and a 2005 second or third to let someone move up. If not, I'd wager that Chris Gamble might be there. Gamble is obviously a risky pick, but his upside is such where I think he'd be worth the risk at #33 overall. Derrick Strait, on the other hand, absolutely isn't.
If Stacey Andrews is there, I love the pick. Claude Harriot would be a good pick in the 6th is solid, also. I don't really like Michael Turner, but if he's there, I guess I'm okay with it. I don't think that he's much of an upgrade over Shipp, Smith, or Scobey, but whatever.
