USA Today & Leinart

Two articles today on Leinart in USA Today. One said "He would be the opening day starter".

The other article covered his personal life as well as his push to be the starter. Seems he has been working hard this year. Warner still wants a shot at starting. A rather lengthy article and I want try to cover it but more publicity than I am accustomed to reading about the Cards.

I ran into Jim Corbett, writer of the USA Today article, at Sky Harbor last Thursday. He had just come down the hill from Flagstaff, and was waiting for a plane. He is a friendly person and seemed like a real nice guy, we actually talked for a couple of hours.

He has been making a tour of various NFL camps. On this trip he had been at 49er's, Raiders, Cowboys, Chargers, and Cardinals. He said, (paraphrased) 'the Cardinals look pretty good to him. He feels they have a good shot at winning the NFC West; 49er's have problems and Seattle is not as strong as they have been.'

He told me the bit about Leinart showing the picture of his kid, like any proud Dad! Corbett feels that Leinart has matured considerably since coming into the league.
