I'll never understand bashing Floyd for this. Yes he's a knucklehead. Yes he's a moron. Yes he's lush. But I don't fault him at all. What's he supposed to do? Say no when called? He didn't asked to be waived. He didn't ask for 30 other teams to bypass him. Blame this on Keim. He and Arians could have simply deactivated him for the rest of the season and then let him walk and got a draft pick. Instead, they let their own pride guide them and now not only does he get a ring, someone is going to sign him and NE is going to benefit from the draft pick. And people wonder why they win the way they do.

Hey he threw that one block and made that one catch... That's all it takes.

Actually there are guys that have done even less than that and gotten rings.

Just remember, at some point he is going to have to deal with reality.

I don't fault him for going to the Pats. People are just upset because you have a player like Fitz who does everything humanly possible to be a good sport. Then you have a knuckle head like this who may end up fading into irrelevance with a ring. Sure there are other players who deserved a ring (Marino, etc), but this one is just so close to home here.

So he gets a ring. When I look at this pic I am more put off that the guy is acting like he was vested in the win. Given his status as a top pick and his season and behavior with the Cards and then being deactivated with the Pats, if it were me I would be discrete and not be caught kissing the trophy..but that's me. I'm sure he feels a big part of the win and maybe his scout team Julio Jones work the last two weeks was valuable.

I think a lack of self awareness is highlighted here, and is Michael Floyd's issue overall. I don't miss him. I don't care what he does from here on out. Unless he makes life changes, he won't be in the league too much longer anyway.

Not just the lack of self awareness shown by kissing the trophy. He actually tweeted this.

Believe in yourself to what end?

This guy is going to be homeless someday. He is completely out of touch with reality. What exactly does his #Believeinyourself tag mean? Believe that no matter how bad you screw your life up you can always latch on to other peoples accomplishments and feel vindicated?

He will hit someone in an alcohol related driving offense way before he is homeless.

He identifies his adversity which he overcame as being cut. The reality is he has not faced any adversity because he is unwilling to acknowledge his issues with alcohol.

Like MB said, he showed no remorse for what he did and it looks like he still doesn't with that tweet.

And to actually kiss that trophy??? Come on man...
Now that makes me chuckle. He did nothing to earn it. This reminds me of the 2008 Phillies and Adam Eaton. He was so bad that the Phillies literally sent him home for the rest of the season. Didn't release him, didn't waive him, just sent him home. The Phillies go on to win the World Series and even though technically he qualified for a ring, he actually had the nerve to show up for the ring ceremony. He was booed loudly.

If you did not touch the field and contribute to the win, he has as much right to kiss that trophy as the water boy who ensures the first team is properly hydrated in practice... and then he tweets the image as if it confirms he has turned his life around, as stated he has no grip with reality and Michael B did the right thing

I think it's hilarious that he was a none factor and he feels he should even be a part of that trophy. The guy has a ton of talent but is clearly a mental weakling. That showed with his horrible year when he melted down with the pressure of his contract year.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. He has one, but everyone knows he didn't contribute. He wasn't there for the journey, or when it mattered for the Patriots. You can't say you feel bad for Fitz because of this because Fitz would never want to win a ring this way. He would never take pride in the way Michael got one. Fitz stayed with one team, and if we got a ring he would've been there week in and week out giving his all. The ring only has monetary value, there is no blood, sweat, or tears in that ring. There was no fighting, and giving everything he had to get it. It is purely symbolic off the hard work, and good fortune of others achievements. His tweet is disgusting, and I don't see how any player can respect that.

I was trying to make peace with Floyd getting a SB ring but this picture and him tweeting what he did irritates me to no end.

As Dems posted "Life is not fair and Jerks get rewarded all the time."

I applaud what our FO did with cutting Floyd and regaining some CAP dollars instead of putting this mental midget in time out.
