All of Season 3 is on History Channel online.

Will have to wait till they post Season 4's new episode to watch it tonight. Anyone catch it last night?

Yes. There is a big battle brewing between brothers. This season looks like it's going to be great.

Oh, right - Rollo is supposed to defend Paris against his brother when they return in the spring. I'll have to re-watch the last episode from season 3

fantastic episode..... still uncertain as to whether or not Ragnar will survive his wounds.

what to do with Floki...Ragnar was going to use his info to manipulate Floki,...but his boy took that option away from him...

Rollo went off the deep end when he dealt with his crew IMO.

Damned French princess was soooo upset he didn't rape her on their wedding night, lol
.....she appeared truly offended by that.

Makes you wonder who is more sick. On one hand, Rollo didn't take advantage and on the other murdered his friends and clan. As you pointed out, she didn't want to be raped but then was offended he didn't want to. Match made in heaven maybe? LMAO.

It was probably the bloodiest Vikings episode ever. I am intrigued to see where the Kalf and Laegatha alliance goes. Are they angling to succeed Ragnar? I think they might be.

Good episode, big stories all over the place.

As for the Rollo plot:

I don't think how he treated Gisela or his crew didn't fit with what we've seen before. The Vikings respect "free women" and give women power. Rollo clearly didn't like how she was being forced to marry, even to the point of the King shoving her head down. We've seen in the past it's okay for them to rape slaves but not free women. (Remember when Laegatha was sexually assaulted, twice on this show, she killed both guys and no one held it against her.) Personally, I think once Gisela figures that out about Rollo she is going to dig it, although she will still be a hot head. The way he went to sleep with her having a dagger right there was awesome.

As for the crew, Ragnar and Rollo both massacre when they think it calls for it. Remember Borg's and Horik's families and men. Ragnar sure as hell won't give Rollo another chance. And Rollo clearly couldn't trust his crew to be loyal. And he wasn't going to sort it out as to who is and who isn't, like Ragnar does with the people around him, Rollo is not that cerebral.

That's my opinion.

omg ... when Lagertha

Cuts off Einar's 'manhood' even Kalf cringed, but then gave an approval smile. That was pretty gruesome.

Darn it Rollo! Just when I thought I was in, you pull me back out!

Why'd you have to kill all your countrymen?

I liked this episode.... Bjorn obviously views this new guy as a threat to Ragnar, and his own position..... was nice to see Lagertha take down the jackass who stole her Jarldom..... but I am wondering to what degree Ragnar will be strung out on the opium...and what the Chinese girls intentions are in that regard....looks like she is going to own the king here soon..... as she is the only connection he has.... and it seems Rollo has decided he and Ragnar must have a face off soon as they will not both be allowed to live.

Is it my imagination, or are they resorting to a lot more gratuitous sex scenes? that whole bathtub scene was lame.

I'm enjoying it. Lagertha's move was pretty slick. Didn't see it coming.

Yeah, that really surprised me too.

Ragnar is going to die this season or in the next one this Fall. It is all in place for it to happen, but he will have go back to England. They are trying really hard to make the French and English stories as interesting as the Vikings stories. As they should, since the three peoples intertwine in history. They aren't quite there yet, but I really liked the Kwentrith and Athelwulf plot twist.

I thought the same thing about that scene and the sadist scene last season. Not necessary for me, although I know the European version of the show is even more graphic. Probably because Game of Thrones has that in it a lot is my guess.

I don't know about killing him this season or next unless the series is ending. There are competing versions of how he died but the snake pit sounds more dramatic and "TV Like". I see that as one of the last scenes of the television show.

At any rate, that move by Lagertha is interesting. I am not sure if she did that out of being power hungry or does she really know what they did to Bjorn and is going after them for that? Will be interesting to find out. Bjorn knows....hell is coming either way.

It was HER Jarldom....dude stole it when she went raiding in England with Ragnar....she was just taking back what was hers to begin with.

True. Although she seems to be one step ahead of everyone else and it wouldn't surprise me she knew of the assassination attempt on her son.

The creator says he would like to go all the way to Lief Ericson and North America. I guess that could change, but Ragnar has to die if that is the case as his sons are way more involved in Vikings history. Even Rollo's descendents, the Normans, are more important than Ragnar. They have Ivar the Boneless as a kid, and he mounts the biggest Viking invasion and occupation of England against Alfred the Great who is also already in the show.

But, if ratings tank they just might do a rewrite and wrap it up.

I am not really looking at it from a historical perspective. I am looking at it from a fan perspective. Almost everybody I know watches the show because of Travis Fimmel. Very few shows can kill of their lead and continue to get the ratings they got before. It's very rare. Count me as one of those that would be less enthusiastic about the show without him. I don't watch this show for historical accuracy.

Well, Alfred the Great is in it, but only because they conflated a bit historically. But then, this show's always done that, so it's not a big deal.

I agree that it would be doubtful that it would last long after that. He and Katheryn Winnick are the stars of the show for sure.

Personally, never cared for Travis Fimmel. They could take it into the next generation - some hot, young actor to play Ivar or Siefried Snake Eye.

Or, they could bring back Athelstan re-incarnated as Alfred the Great!

You can tell they're setting up for Bjorn to take over.

Remember this season started with the seer telling Aslaugh a woman would someday rule Kattegat. Laegatha?
