I dunno.... Ragnars ol'lady spends her time riding Odin's raven every time he goes out of town...seems the allfather might make her the ruler after Ragnar dies.........

Just watched the last episode on the DVR. Three major deaths and I didn't see that one coming.
I also liked how Charles and Ecbert had the same comment on a pregnancy. At least I thought it was a nice touch.

Kicking up the story to the next generation. Ivar is going to be a badass... My girlfriends complaint though is they took all of those cute little kid actors off the show and replaced them with "ugly" teens, 20 somethings.
That was the "midseason finale", anyone know when they will run the 2nd half this year?
Loved last nights episode.... seems they found a different guy for their fight scenes... last nights fight looked quicker, sharper than they have in the past.
Rollo finally got the adoration he has always craved....and apparently turned full on Christian for it, lol.
At the end there....when Ragnar was shouting out "who is gonna kill me".... I was expecting to hear Beorns voice... "I Will".... before they faded to black.
Not that he wants to kill Ragnar mind you..... but because he wants to be King...and it would allow his father to die with honor.
Looking forward to seeing Ivar the Boneless fight....

Read an interview with Hirst, the writer. They have started shooting season 5, and he mentions he just finished writing a story about Bjorn in Sicily for that season. Also, he thinks the two or three best episodes of the entire series so far are in the second half of season 4.

Exactly what I thought. When he shouted "Who wants to be King" I for sure thought Bjorn was going to say me. Despite how pissed off they might be at Ragnar....you can tell they still fear him more than they hate him.
I wonder where the hell he has been all this time? I found it strange he said...I see everyone has already judged me. I wonder if it really is that simple or has Ragnar been up to something? It almost sounded as if he had been up to something this entire time. Even though he doesn't blame them....there is more to it.

In the interview I read with Hirst, he said we will all be surprised with what Ragnar was doing during his absence. In fact, he tied it to his statement that the best ever episodes of the show, in his opinion, are in the 2nd half of this season. He also said Ecbert and Ragnar's stories will be brought back together. He also said Laegatha is going to do something amazing to "get back what is hers".
I know he is going to pimp the show hard, but it got my interest.
Maybe Ragnar went to China to secure the opium market for Europe. After all "she" was the Emperor's daughter.

I thought the fight scenes were kinda strange ... that whole slow motion thing, and those 2 just punching each other.
Glad the King of Francia finally grew a pair and got rid of those 2 losers! Glad for Rollo - he finally got the recognition he craved. I always liked Rollo's character better anyway.
I'm guessing Ragnar was in England all the time he was missing.

Agree with you on the WWE trading blows part of the fight. I was thinking....OK...enough already...LOL.
In terms of Rollo? I always thought he was a petty and jealous of Ragnar. Despite Ragnar being majorly flawed I still cheer for him verses Rollo who betrayed him more than once. Not to mention murdered former friends and people from his own village. I just can't cheer for him even though I like the character.

I have three older brothers and one younger.... The fight between Ragnar and Rollo was one of my favorite parts of the show...I even predicted to my ol'lady it would come down to knuckles and skull bones....nobody fights like brothers...but ya don't wanna hack him up...you wanna beat his ass to death...
Ragnar and Rollo are a pretty close match...Rollo is bigger and stronger, while Ragnar is meaner and smarter....
what Rollo needs to fear,... is seeing Beorn across the battlefield coming his way... he broke that kids heart,....and Beorn just might eat his for it
China was my though too...mentioned it to the ol'lady when we were discussing it...
I don't know where that disappearance fits in historically though...
