I want him for at least the rest of the season and I wanted him as soon as Kolb went down because I never thought Skelton or Lindley were worth anything.

Cards won't do it, if they were they would have done it 4 or 5 games ago when we were still in the hunt.

Seriously? When's the last time you've seen VY play Gee? He's total garbage! Much like what Lindley & Skelton...inaccurate & a turnover machine. Next?

I don't know why they at least didn't give him a chance to see what he could do for us. He is better than Lindley and Skelton.

Ya I said I wouldn't want him at all.. At this point I don't think any QB on this team or any FA QB is gonna be our savior this year..

Bring him in. It can't hurt any worse than what we have seen. Our coaches have already ruined Skelton and lindley. We need to start with 3 new qbs next year.

I'd rather start Young the last 3 games than Skelton/Lindley.

He is like Skelton except with a bi-polar disorder.

Pass.

Yea....sure....whatever....I just don't want to see either Skelton or Lindley behind center ever again.

God, I hate this team sooooooo much that I can't believe I'd actually be ok with the prospect of VY on the team for the last 3 games of the season :bang:

People, please lay off the LSD for a while. There is a good reason why Vince Young is unemployed. Remember my comment about how bad Vick sucks? Well, Vince Young is so bad that his suckness is permeating the atmosphere and heading into deep space so far that it's reaching the Borg and it's warning them not to come to earth because if they assimilated Young, they would incorporate his suckiness into their collective which would mean that a single Ferengi ship could take them down.

This is all true, but he's still better than anyone currently on our roster.

Sad But True.

We'd be better off starting Lindley for two years waiting for the next Peyton Manning to finally come out of college.

Let the suckage flow unfiltered, just bring Whiz and Grimm back, don't fire them, they want the release, don't give it to them, they should be forced to captain this ship all the way down until she nestles finally on the bottom.

Its to late to make any changes. Should have done that when Kolb got hurt but Graves closes his door during the season as that would mean spending money.
Bidwills too cheap.

Well that's the genius of the plan. Vince Young has lost it so we don't have to worry about winning but he's still news and so maybe he'll distract everyone from the 58-0 loss yesterday and how bad the Cards are.

Bingo. Second time in three years Whiz has asked for help and didn't get it.

Of course he's the one that picked these morons in the first place so he deserves as much blame.

Vince Young, under Whisenhut, cannot be any worse than he already shown in Philly. Besides, perhaps he would get better since he hit rock bottom and needs a job.

The real questions is: can Whisenhut screw us a talented QB who is already screwed up?

Except for Warner (who refused to conform to Whisenhut's ideas and how to play QB), every QB who Whisenhut has lorded over in AZ has failed and played worse here than they did before. DA did not match his career averages. Leinart deteriorated from his decent level of play for Denny Green (and from college) to where he could only check down for Whisenhut, Kolb was an excellent West Coast Offense QB before Whisenhut tried to force him into the square pegs in Whisenhut's offense, Skelton, a college career 64% completion average with 67% his senior year and All-American candidate, cannot get near 60% to save his life, and Lindley, a college career 55% completion average, cannot even get over 50%. Obviously receivers are open, but Whisenhut's system just does not work without a highly experienced veteran QB who can really read defenses and Kurt Warner was the only one who could make Whisenhut's system work. I would venture to say young QBs like Luck, RGIII, Russel Wilson, Stafford, Kaepernick, Bradford, Locker, Tannehill or Dalton would all crash and burn under Whisenhut and his clueless methods on training and developing QBs. In fact, Roethlisberger cheered when Whisenhut left the Steelers. Big Ben said Whisenhut hindered his development and was not helpful at all when Whisenhut was his boss and the OC for the Steelers.

Well part of the problem with Skelton is your numbers are dead wrong. He completed 64% yes, as a senior, his career college numbers were 58%, he topped 60 his junior and senior year. He's never been accurate that's why he lasted as long as he did with his size and arm. that and that he apparently really struggles to read defenses.

He's clearly not very good at identifying QB's, but I'm not sure where people get this idea he's somehow bad at coaching them. That he can't turn straw into gold isn't really an indicator he's a bad QB coach.

he's not easy to play for that's clear. Skelton is still quite young so if you're right I'm sure he'll move on to another team and turn into a very good QB.

I would bet he learned more about being an NFL QB this year than he did the first 2 years combined, he learned how NOT to handle being named a starter.

Interesting thought. Skelton, because of being a rookie 3rd/4th string QB in 2010 and the lockout and injury in 2011 did not get much coaching. And yet he did ok when called on, not great or anything but ok, and the Cards won several games with him at QB. Then in 2012 when he is in contention for the starting job and is now getting attention from the coaches and reps etc. He suddenly becomes beyond horrible.

Hmmmmm.....

:D
