Devin Booker is listed as questionable if it has not already been reported.

Another Devin Booker injury.

Hey, why don't we tell him that, in addition to having to be our best Shooting Guard and our best Point Guard, he needs to start pulling down 8-10 rebounds and be our best Power Forward as well?

Damn! He'll be in traction by the end of the season. :(

Suns leadership can't see beyond the end of their collective noses. As I've posted before, the Suns have become the Sears/KMart Corp. of the NBA.

Don’t be obtuse. He got injured because he got run over on the court.

While trying to be a Point Guard or playing his natural (and experienced) position as the Shooting Guard on offense and defense?

I didn't see the play. What was the sequence?

It is funny that I have a couple of people on ignore, and I can read a reasonable person's comment and know exactly who they are responding to.

Neither really, it was just a basketball play. He tried to take a charge inside the key and the guy ran him over. He could have been playing any position and it would have likely developed the same way.

I don't put a lot of weight into early comparisons but this makes me feel good.

TBF though, Bridges had more time in college and is 2 years older than Kawhi was as a rookie. I hope he has that kind of growth still left in his game, but I suspect he won't quite end up as good as Kawhi.

It was simply a feel good tweet. I take it with a grain of salt. Sidery likes to do some positive stuff and I read it when I want to get pumped up.

It shows just how much growth a young player can still have in their game. Kawhi is a very good reason why you don't make conclusions about young players too early. They can still have a lot of growth left in their game that just hasn't flourished yet. Kawhi in his first few years simply looked like he would be a great role player and now he is in the MVP conversation.

I agree with all this. I'm hoping the Suns keep their key young players and add to their base. The star the Suns are looking for may be on their roster.

They need to add at least another quality player or two to the mix plus whatever role players they need.

Except that coming out of college, Kawhi Leonard was a terrible shooter and fell as far as he did in the draft (though I really, really wanted the Suns to take a flier on him over Markeiff Morris) because nobody thought he could contribute on offense, whereas shooting was supposed to be a strength for Bridges. Not encouraging at all, in my opinion. Leonard developed into a stud thanks largely to Popovich's coaching. We have nothing near that level of development capability on this team, as is demonstrated by Bridges' lack of progress from opening night to now.

With the right development, I actually see a lot of Kawhi in Josh Jackson. Unfortunately, we do not have the personnel in place to develop our young players properly...

There’s no comparison with Booker getting injured and playing the point. I think the injury occurred while taking a charge. Maybe leadership should not have him play defense in fear of further injuries.

Kinda cool. Things need to develop though.

At minimum, Bridges is one of the best wing defenders (if not the best) in the league, and his three-point shot is OK right now, and I think his shooting percentage is gonna go up quite a bit. He is ALREADY an NBA player. I do get excited when I see him doing other stuff once in a while- driving to the hoop, cutting to the basket without the ball, etc.

As a 3 and D, he is already there. I cannot see him developing the offensive volume that Kahwi has while he is on the roster with Booker. He is really solidfying himself in that starting sf role though. JJ really has no chance of overtaking him, I don't think. JJ's future is off the bench for us or with another team.
