The Warriors visit the Suns, the last game for both teams prior to the All-Star Break. The game is slated to start at 7 p.m. Arizona time.

Here is an interesting snippet from a Paul Coro article written earlier today. Earl Watson wants Tyson Chandler to add a mid-range shot.

Fifteen seasons later, the Suns’ lead dog is learning new tricks as a perimeter shooter.

“The only thing we want to add to his offense is shooting the ball from the elbow with confidence,” Suns interim head coach Earl Watson said. “We want to give our entire team confidence to make shots, hit shots and take shots that are open within what we do. Not to create your own shot. Team basketball is key.

“To actually take that step is a good, positive step to extend his career.”

Watson wants Chandler to take mid-range shots from the baseline, elbows and top of the key, especially when Markieff Morris is on the block. Chandler, 33, is enthralled by the chance, having never before been cleared for it.

“You got to expand,” Chandler said. “I work on it all the time. I put a lot of shots up, especially now that I know it’s coming. I knew it was something in the latter part of my career that I wanted to start developing.”

Here are the projected starting lineups:

The Suns will be wearing their purple road purple jerseys at home as it is a Sixth Man Appreciation Night for their season ticket holders.

C: Tyson Chandler … Andrew Bogut

PF: Markieff Morris … Draymond Green

SF: P.J. Tucker … Harrison Barnes

SG: Devin Booker … Klay Thompson

PG: Archie Goodwin … Stephen Curry

Key Warriors reserves: Andre Iguodala, Leandro Barbosa, Marreese Speights, Shaun Livingston, Brandon Rush.

Key Warriors injuries: James Michael McAdoo (sprained left toe) is doubtful; Festus Ezeli (left knee surgery) is out.

Seriously, the Suns should be required to wear Washington Generals unis for this one.

Just a thought, if the Warriors were sitting Curry tonight (they're not) would they be plug and play like the Spurs?

The Suns seemed confused at the start of the game.

Uh, what just happened between Morris and Goodwin? Steve said the fight almost broke out and Markieff had to be held back?

Albert is saying Archie and Markieff almost had a fight on the bench.

Markieff is still in the game. Orlando Johnson replaced Archie.

That behind the back pass by Curry was beyond awesome.

So much for some people thinking that Goodwin and Kieff are best friends or something

Lots of evidence to suggest they've been friends in the past and one heat of the moment incident doesn't change that. Who knows how it will go forward. But it's interesting to note that it was Archie who rode the bench after that incident, not Markieff.

Archie needs to get a dunk or shot to get his confidence back.

Not any evidence to suggest that their any closer than Bledsoe and Kieff or Tucker and Kieff or any of the other Suns teammates who have publicly spoke out in support of Kieff since this whole thing started.

You're kidding right? There's plenty of evidence that the twins had a closer bond with Goodwin. And I've seen nothing to suggest that Kieff and Tucker have bonded in any particular way. I got the feeling that Bledsoe was in his corner but not like the comments to and from the twins with Archie.

I don't know what happened in this incident. I do know that Goodwin looked lost the first few minutes and stood around several times when he should have been hustling. I have no idea if that had any thing to do with Markieff's reaction but if so, it's certainly not a good enough excuse to go after a teammate. But the one clip I did see it looked like Markieff tried to slap hands with him and Goodwin didn't respond perhaps. I'm getting the GS announcers so I don't know what ours have said but I'm not getting much information about the flareup.

I don't even care who's fault this is. This is just embarrassing. Morris has embarrassed this organization for far too long yet we keep this clown around. This is a joke.

At least Kieff is acting like he gives a crap. But I can't say too much when my two least favorite players get in a shoving match...

I don't think we're "keeping him around" as much as we're waiting for a fair trade offer. He's put up good numbers since Jeff's been fired, hopefully the suitors will come calling soon.
