I had no problem starting him but if he's here then you must have your QBOTF also on the team and I said that LAST YEAR.

Low and behold it wasn't the interceptions that got him but I also said he was too old to count on making it through a year.

It would be fine to have him as the QB and then have his heir on the team and make him beat his future heir out and keep him on the bench, it was not fine to try and roll with just him.

That is why it was a fluke.

Peyton, Tom, Romo, Rodgers, Stafford, etc.... No one wins in this league when their QB has an injury.

Two ACLS on the same leg means you CAN'T assume he'll just be ok, we have NO CHOICE but to try and get another QB who can be a franchise QB in the off season if we don't we're just stupid.

Marty got fired in KC for endless year after year first round playoff flameouts.

You play to win the Super Bowl and when you don't win it you try again next year but to expect Carson Palmer to last long enough to get that done is the thing I question.

Had we lost fair and square with him as the QB that's different but he didn't even make it that far and if we start him next year I predict the same thing will happen again.

If finding a playoff level QB late in the season was easy to do, every team would do it. Most teams find it hard to replace their starting quarterback no matter when it happens. It's just not an easy thing to do and then to have to do it a second time, late in the season, is almost impossible. I have to believe there was someone around that was better than Lindley but after all the holes these guys had to fill, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on this one. So, not wasted. For me, it was a great season with a disappointing close but I lay that at the feet of fate, not the front office.

I've defended Keim because of that same exact argument but I can't do it anymore. Tim Freaking Tebow would've been a tremendous upgrade from our current quarterback personal.

I HATE Tebow and given the hand we were dealt I would of signed him to finish the season when Stanton went down.

It ALL matters. There is only one winner. It doesn't make it suck because you didn't get there. We were in the hunt they gave it their all but we couldn't overcome not having an NFL caliber QB, RB, P ect....

When did people start getting so optimistic around here? Once Palmer went down, anything positive from that point on was gravy. Sucks to see this happen to the team, but what did you really expect? It wasn't really that close. Seattle has our number, and our defense was overachieving. Pack it up folks, it was much better than fielding 4 QB's and finishing with a 6-10 record.

Extremely frustrating end to a weird season. With Palmer, this was a very average offense. Without him, they were attrocious. I'm really perplexed as to whether BA is the offensive genius everyone seems to make him out to be. After our surge in the 2nd half of last year, my expectations for this offense this year was through the roof. Even when healthy, it was a major disappointment. People criticized Whiz for being stubborn, but BA is pretty similar to Whiz in that regard. Hopefully, he learned something from this season & doesn't make the same mistake that Whiz did. I really thought we should have drafted Bridgewater. Had we, I think we'd still be playing right now.

This team was light years ahead of some of the teams I've seen over the years.

It was a good year as long as Carson Palmer was healthy and then the wheels fell off.

The thing is it's always something with this team and when you couple that with the near epic ability to dodge franchise QB's even while mostly sucking for decades it's truly as much evidence of a curse as I think anyone could ever assemble.

I don't blame anyone since the Pottsville fiasco, that's where the real blame lies I think.

Since then until Warner showed up it wasn't very good then it was great but not quite good enough.

We diddled around with Warner enough he retired and never built enough around him and frankly we didn't have that much time anyhow.

I am not one for "moral" victories. It's really hard to win in this league let alone get in the playoffs. When you have a team that has enough talent to possibly get you there and because you can't find a QB to keep your chances alive?!?! Yep, feels like a huge wasted opportunity no matter the reason.

So, a wasted opportunity would be more appropriate than wasted year. I fully agree with the mishaps of the coaching staff this year - Butler, Ginn especially, lousy gameplans for Lindley. The inability to find a decent ILB to take reps from the Ghost instead of UDFA Carson would be another issue for me (I was hoping to see Desmond Bishop see time, but he got cut instead).

The year has been full of coaching and management missteps, but most teams have them as well. Just sucks that we couldn't do better yesterday, we could have had at least given them a better fight.

We won 11 games and had a ton of injuries. We showed heart and guts every

week. ( except Atlanta). We made the playoffs!!! Hell our coach is a miracle

worker. I am proud of what my team accomplished!! I cant believe we

passed on Derek Carr though. The kid would of fit perfectly here

I assumed based on your screen ID that you go back to the 70s. If so you would realize the Coryell teams were the best offenses. The 1984 team with Lomax, Anderson, Green and Mitchell was special too.

I dunno, "best" is subjective especially if you did or did not watch the offense. I know the Air-Coryell teams were good, but could they compare to today's offenses?

I can only compare since they've been here.

- The '88 team had a good offense until Lomax went down
- Bugel's last season the offense was good
- There was a year or two the Larry Centers as mentioned - that was Jim Fassels BTW.
- Marc Tressman was considered an offensive guru, but it seemed too complex or the players just sucked, or both.
- After that, I'd say the '08 and '09 teams had good offenses. C'mon 51pts in the PO game!

Back on topic, 2012 was a wasted year if there ever was one.
