DDockett made some comments yesterday that were, um, interesting. Said all the fans have to bring their A-game on Saturday, just like the players.

Then he rambled on about the "bandwagon" fans - the ones that like them one minute, boo them the next minute. Said the players were doing this for the "loyal" fans who've been with them thru-out. And those "other fans ... we don't care too much about them. They can do what they want."

Boy, that's gonna piss off some fans.

Hey , it was a bunch of the loyal fans that were letting them have it in the beginning of the game Sunday. Guess what - they deserved it from the FAITHFUL.

After the lackluster MNF game vs. Niners (which in retrospect won the Division), the "turkey" bowl in Philly and the embarrasement in Foxboreo iut's time we shut up the critics and national media. Atlanta is favored to win at AZ - c'mon Cards fans, rock and roll the nest! I can't wait to hear Cris Collingswortheless and others after we romp.
It'll be a close game. We indeed could be a difference maker. :newcards::band::fans:

Me and my girlfriend will be there after going to the Seahawk game last week as well. This has been one hell of a trip out so far and two games with a playoff game? Cannot wait. Will be in Section 124.

The roof does make a difference and I hope its closed. But even if its not I will be rocking loud and proud.

Can I please tailgate with somebody? :(

I'll bring beer:beer:

I'll be loud during the first half...

After that I'll still be yelling but I'll likely have lost my voice by then. Usually whistleing still works though!

I am really getting pumped for the game! Can't wait to run into Carddan in the parking lot and listen to him pump people up!

Tomorrow I will be flying my Cards window flag from my work truck so if anyone in the West Valley sees an SRP truck sporting Cards gear, be sure to honk and wave hello.

Saturday will be a great day, I hope I don't run out of beer!

IMO that's all hype. How many false starts/penalties did the SeaHawks oline have yesterday? It wasn't that loud and the roof was open. It's when they see the Cards line up in a blitz that they false start.

Did someone slip something into my drink, because I thought for sure the roof was closed on Sunday. That perplexed me since I though the rule was it was open if there was little chance of rain and it was under 75 degrees.

It was closed, a few of us in our section wondered why as well. Maybe the team is getting input as well? I don't know, I am drinking but I thought for sure it would have been open.
It was cold as hell in the morning, but by gametime, with the sun hitting you, it was a really nice day.

Thanks, Mike.

They keep the roof closed when it is too hot. They open it when it isn't.

BTW, I cannot control my neighbors to any extent. They are usually opposing fans. I am certain that I sit in an area owned by brokers since I was one of the last people to sign up for the season ticket list the year before they opened the new stadium.

I am moving next year, either closer to the field (which will be hard, I suspect, since I sit in row 11) or to another section that has more REAL fans.

Who cares about the freaking roof already?

Roof or no, its the fans that make this place loud.

Worry about making your neighbors loud instead of arguing about something as trivial as a roof.

Donald was fired up for the Seahawks game. I'll be ready evenmoreso on Saturday.

How the hell was he arguing in his post?

And who the hell cares that "donald" was fired up for the Seahawks game.

I don't get your post. Odd.

A lot of us do and a lot of us have the common sense to know that the place IS LOUDER with the roof closed no matter how much you fire up your neighbor.

It is MORE of a home field advantage with it closed than open. Our freaking starting QB in the game has a preference for it to be closed and has said as much.

So whether you you like it or not it IS a topic of discussion even though it doesnt match your views.

No doubt.

Some of these guys and their "cool" little friendship groups that think Cardinal fandom starts and ends with them are tiresome. Truly.

Yawn...

Not when it has gone as far as people saying that our QB doesn't play well because the roof is open..... (yes it has been said)

For the record, I never said that the topic shouldn't be up for discussion, it just doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

That's absolutely not what you said. Reread your post.

Well, for one, "I" care that I was fired up. I don't know what it matters, but I don't like that you are tossing my name out with quotes around it. I am a real person. I don't care that "red desert" doesn't care about this post.

Keep me out of it, since I didn't ask to be in it in the first place.

The "quotes" were not needed. How about who the hell cares that donald was fired up? Not that "donald" was fired up.

Nice that you quote Shane, who is DEFINITELY in my "cool" little friendship group. Truly.

Some people worry a bit too much about who is cool with who on ASFN I guess...I'm pretty much cool with everyone, but jeez some people love to set up boundaries.

And to put words in DCR's mouth, he was probably referencing that I was yelling at Cards fans to get up, yell and get loud when they were quiet. I personally spend a lot of my game energy yelling for our fans to yell louder..as much as I do yelling to cheer on the team. I personally get frustrated when there are people sitting down and silent on second and 7, and try to get them to rise up.

I think what he was saying was it is upon ALL OF US DIEHARDS to emplore our neighbors to not rest and to instead yell on every defensive play of every defensive series...regardless of the score. To make that place loud as hell.

Which, if it occured, roof open or closed, would have a dramatic affect on the noise level in the stadium. I'm only guessing, but I think that's probably why he referenced me...I tend to be a guy who is one of the ones standing and screaming for everyone else to join me and yell, and trying to find new and loud ways to make noise, like banging a beer bottle against the seat back, or banging the front seat of the next row against the back....anything to make it louder. I would like everyone to buy a beer in a plastic bottle, drain that sucker or have a drinking friend do so, and then take that and bang it on your seatback...it is LOUD and the more that do so, the merrier. The louder we can be.

I don't think that anyone here feels that trying to be louder is a crime. Let's just find ways to do so, and not bitch about whatever other CARDS FANS might think helps make it louder.

Let's ALL get MORE FIRED UP THAN EVER!!!!!

I wish we could get the stadium crew to do the D-FENSE thump that I hear them do at Suns, and other football stadiums. I love to hear when a whole stadium is vibrating with D-FENSE! I couldn't imagine how it would jack me up as a player.

It gets going in isolated areas and I try each game in my section, but a little divine help is needed!
