Is our QB really that bad? It appears so. No offense in the NFL can possibly be that BAD. Also, Emitt is slow (way slow). Our only good play was a screen play that looked like an accident as their were no lineman out in front leading it. We lucked out on our only good play. What does that say?

Also, our defense may play hard but they still suck against the run and it won't get any better next week either. It appeared as though they didn't learn anything. Or, our players are really bad.

Did anybody notice a game plan here? Looked like last week to me.

BTW, the CBS announcers were right in their analysis of the Cards. Hate to say that! It's like we are a triple-A (or double-A) team against a pro team.

And for those who will say (and they will) "If we had boldin it could be different". I would say wishful thinking. He's a player and will help but we won't win games with McCLOWN. Sorry folks.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel with McCown yet.

He got sacked FIVE TIMES (maybe more, I lost count) and hurried over 10 times!

Until we get this O-Line better, I'm going to give him a little leeway.

I see your point and all since he did stink today but come on so did the whole offense.

He had people all over him and he's basically a rookie going against a defense that makes veteran QB's look bad.

I think if he throws up a few stinkers this year it is to be expected but if after Boldin comes back and he has a few more starts under his belt he still looks like this then yeah I'd agree with you.

It's not nonsense to be frustrated ...

Maybe calling him a CLOWN isn't very nice. Sorry. But it's not nonsense to be frustrated over a horrible performance like that. If I were him (and as some others stated) anyone on that offense I'd probably have some choice words for myself as well. I bet he'd agree also. On another note, I'm not for sure it's all the offensive line's fault either. I saw some cut back lanes on some plays but Emitt was to slow to get there.

Bolden would have made zero difference. You have to have someone to get them the ball and you have to be able to run the ball. We can do neither.

I am very proud of McCown's play today.

He played exactly as I expected he would.

Now, which QB's are Free Agents after this year??

He's started 5 games in the NFL. Jeez. He all ready seems better than Boller and he's had over a year of starts.

Give the guy at least a year before we write him off.

I hear what your saying, but Jeez. Wouldn't you want to see a slight improvement as they progress? There is NO progression. Maybe a lot of regression. I know, I know, we played the superbowl champs. so what. We were at home and they were vulnerable to the run. We did not show ANY offense at all. Josh made some bonehead plays (several). Let me ask this: If we had the best offensive line in the league how much difference do you really think that would have made (in Josh's case)?

See this is where the problems lie.

I got no problem with that theory but if thats what this team was all about then why is Green acting as if he can win 10 games with this team? You want to give McCown a year-fine, in the meantime you have a DRAFTED QB waiting in the wings.

But oh no, Green says we can win 10 games, w/McCopwn, this year.

Come on! You cant have it both ways. No when this team goes 5-11 this year and McCown is clearly not the answer then you do what? draft A QB in 2005? Wait another year??

I want to believe in Green but you cant have it borh ways Denny!

no kidding.....the lunacy does indeed begin. I'm not surprised at this. The Pats make a lot of teams and QB's looks bad.

To start ragging on McCown and calling him childish names, for 1 game like this is even beyond lunacy.

Boldin would help....

because the db's would have to key on him. I'm not saying we would have won, but Q is a difference maker.

What hurts us more than anything is not having a home run threat in the backfield. I think we have to get Scobey in there a little more often. His speed was so evident on the outlet pass. If that was Emmitt he would have been caught at the 30 yard line.

I don't know. Maybe I'm the only lunatic here. But that QB, isn't going to take us anywhere after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ... games. Do I need to go on...

After 2 games, he's regressed. According to Mr. Green we could be a playoff team with him. Well, he shouldn't be regressing if he's a playoff QB. If we were rebuilding and the expectations were set that Josh needs 1 year, 2 years under his belt then maybe I'd be lighter on him. But this isn't his first year being around NFL defenses. Starting yes. He still can't be compared to rookie QB's.

We'll see how much of a lunatic I am down the road after he's benched. I'm just not confident that he can read and think quick enough to make good decisions and still move the ball down the field. And it's not going to get any easier for him with the quality of offensive players on the field with him either. I think even with a great offensive line, he still doesn't have the natural ability to think on his feet so to speak and make positive plays.

I was at the game and the main problem with McCown is that he was staring down his receivers. He would lock on and throw into coverage or the pass would get batted down. He also needs to learn to throw the ball away more.

Most of McCown's problems are mental mistakes. They are the product of being a young QB behind a really crappy offensive line.

I have always been very critical of McCown's play, but today was a total failure on offense.

It takes 11 people to move the ball and if 5 or 6 stink your QB won't make a differnce at all.

He made mistakes against a team that very good QB's on good offensive teams struggle with.

He looked bad and that isn't suprising to me. He has one WR that couldn't start for most teams, Williams and one non established one year vet plus a rookie phenom that can't get seperation but catches everything thrown to him. He did what he thought he could and threw it there and he got burnt.

Basically he got a very very hard lesson on life as a QB in the NFL.

New QB's have this happen to them.

QB's who are gonna stick in the league do better the next time and we'll see but if he does get benched I will be all for it because a patient coach that knows much more than all of us made the decision.

Dude that whole oline stinks and his WR are not getting any seperation. Oh yeah don't let your RB block a charging DE cause the DE will always win that one.

This argument is ridiculous.Mccown has played 2 meaningful games against 2 of the better teams in the league.Oh yeah, one of them are defnding Super Bowl champs. The Pats shut down Qb's like Manning and you're complaining that Mccown had a bad game?Try and be a little realistic. Now if he struggles in about 7-8 games against a defense like KC's then you may have a beef.

Did you see the St. Louis Rams game today? Boy their defense looked horrible, but we made them look like championship caliber last week.

Vick beat them with his legs.HIs passing stats were nothing great. So now we're comparing himto Vick and Manning when we should be comparing him to guys like Grossman,Ramsey,Boller, and Leftwich.
