Regarding Rest...Since Rams game is being played at the same time, I think you have to start the game going full out, because the division title is still up for grabs. If, though, you lookup at halftime and see the Rams up by 3 or more scores, you can consider shutting it down in the 2nd half and giving guys rest.

I want sound, good football from all 3 phases. I don't mind to get Conner and Edmunds only a few snaps. But we need to play sound good football and a good game. A win would be perfect to finish the season and start into the playoffs on a high note.

For the NFC West title, it depends so much on if Shanahan can outsmart & outcoach McVay and at the moment, I'm not sold on Lance so if Shanahan has Garappolo I'm quite sure the 49ers can win, if not. It depends on Stafford.

But still, how many games did Stafford win in the playoffs or in playoff remification games? Hm probably not much ... so there is at least always the possibility and they had all problems with the Hundley let Ravens ... you remember ... Hundley.

I don't like resting people to rest them when you have something on the line. Prepare like any other week. Guys who can go should go. I get having more of a reps rotation and if that means Ward or Eno get 5 more snaps, I am ok with that.

Rashad Penny is on a tear lately... Had 170 yds and 2TDs last game alone and is averaging >5.0 YPCs last month. It will be a great test for our D, which surprisingly did well to contain Zeke and Pollard last game (esp. Chandler Jones who has a history of over-pursuing in Run D).

Anyone who thinks this will be an easy game will be in for a surprise. If our guys have any pride, they will try to contain Penny, which can be a great tune up for whatever opponent we have in two weeks.

I don't either but Conner has been injured. Don't know how bad Edmunds was dinged, he did return to the game so maybe not bad. Conner is really needed for the playoffs so I would sit him. But, if they both play and get minimal carries I wouldn't lose my mind over it.

I'd still sit them both this game.

If it's there for the taking, I WANT the NFC West title. Especially since it's the best division in football. I've never been a fan of resting players, unless it's absolutely necessary. It's one thing if we were locked into our seed, but we're not. Come playoff time, I'd still rather play a home game, because regardless of what our home record was this year, historically the Cardinals have played extremely well at home in the playoffs. It's a different animal once the playoffs start.

you are probably correct... but if that Bosa kid wants to be in the playoffs,... stat padford is going to have a very rough game this week.

Wilson is 6-2-1 in Arizona, and 4-6 vs. the Cardinals in Seattle.

EDIT: Corrected - thanks Football Karma! I accidentally counted the Jan 2012 game in AZ as a loss for Wilson, but obviously, that was the end of the season prior to Wilson's being drafted.

McCoy was active for the game... but they also activated McSorley as well, just in case McCoy couldn't go. No way to know whether McCoy would've gone in had Murray gone down.

I wonder how common he is that he gets them?

This past weekend's game is the only mention I was able to find for McCoy having a migraine. So, hopefully not often!

We missed a 20 yarder to win it. 6-6 tie in OT... when jt was still a full 15 minute extra period. An absolutely painful game to watch and stand through in the stadium while nursing a terrible back injury.

Have we had all of them at once?

The dual dual threat of the RBs excites me. Different types of runners plus both can be catching targets down field. Not to mention QB runs.

Opposition teams haven't had to deal with us with the full array of attacking options. Think we'll be able to throw up a varied and unfamiliar offense in playoffs.
