I didn't see this anywhere and I know some people have said they hate mega-threads so I am going to post this separate regardless.

WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK. Moore was actually used only on 34% of the snaps?

Conner played 37% of snaps but felt like he was everywhere when we needed yards and TDs. Best game of his 3 game Cardinals career.

Collins played 41% without any impact. hmmm,,,
Marco Wilson played 100% of the snaps a rookie but Collins only 41%. That is BADDDDD.
Except when he ran the defensive route a little shallow where TD was scored, Wilson looked very good.

Peters played only 25%. Should not he play more to stop the run?

1-Love to see three OL play 100% snaps.

2-Maxx gets 76% of snaps. 19% more than Kirk and 3% less than Green. Maxx is great for the cost but if we are paying our #2 WR 6mil to get similar snaps as our TE, we probably need to upgrade our TE (Gesicki just because).

3-Moore and Daniels received the same amount of snaps at 23 (34%). It is usage like this that makes me think we should see if Moore can play outside sooner vs later because it will impact our intention of re-signing Kirk. I can explain more if someone wants me to.

4-Wesley played 10 snaps which makes me believe he is our primary backup outside.

5-Love Marco Wilson getting 100% of snaps. Great experience vs more forgiving competition.

6-Jordan Hicks getting 100% of snaps is comical.

7-Not much of a DL rotation again. I don't understand the issue Vance has with Leki Fotu.

It would be bad if Hicks wasn’t playing so well. And he is. Dude had 12 tackles, 7 Solo, a PD, a forced fumble, a sack, and was responsible for one of Murphy’s INTs..... I don’t care what guys like stout claim. He’s playing for a reason. I’m OK with Collins learning slowly.

Many LBs like to get into the flow of the game to get a feel for the blocking angles, running style, and drop depth. Tough to do when you are young and going in and out of the lineup. Another year where a rookie LB's development is hindered to give a vet more snaps than he really should get.

A lot of Ronald McKinnon to his game at this point. He is dragging a lot of guys from behind because he can't get to the hole. This was also the 2nd game where teams just ran right at him with success. And that isn't to discount that he can make some plays, but he should not be anywhere close to a 100% snap guy,

He will get exposed vs LA next week.

All solid points
3)The less usage of moore has something to do with Kliff being too conservative yesterday?
In any cases he need more touches

6) he makes couple of plays and then he is a completely liability in other 15, considering his athletic limitations for the nowadays ilb role playing all the snaps is pathetic

7) the line sucks to stop the run, pass rush is nowhere effective, but doesn't change the formula, stubbornness is difficult to overcome

I would play an extra lineman more often
Budda in the box taking Hicks duties

• J.J. Watt is playing WAY too many snaps. Someone needs to get in his grille and get him off the field. We need him for 17 games, and it's obvious he's making plays in the first quarter of games that he's not in the fourth.
• Having multiple TEs on the field allows Kliff to be creative in his run game designs that he can't with Moore and Kirk. You'd think that it'd be communicated that we need a more effective TE, but apparently this didn't happen.
• Jalen Thompson has been pretty solid.
• Budda Baker has been almost invisible this season. This might be related to the above.

Yeah I really thought Jalen was going to get a pick yesterday it seemed real obvious to me that he seemed to have a feel for Lawrence like he had a tell that Jalen had about where he was going with the ball. I noticed Budda too I almost think like maybe Vance is being cautious with him trying to get through17 games without him getting hurt? I would expect him to be flying around more next week I think maybe Vance is saving him for bigger games.

Marco Wilson seems like he belongs. I think Zaven will eventually be good and I love Rondale so 3 guys from this class I think will be making plays for us for years.

I've definitely noticed this as well. starts the game getting behind the line and making plays, then is huffing and puffing come fourth quarter where he's virtually a ghost.

I think Marco is at least a contributing corner in the NFL. A guy you can play who doesn't embarrass you.

They are playing a lot of two-high S from I have seen and then keeping Baker back when they go man. Playing him more like Earl Thomas then Tyrann Mathieu.

Basically he is invisible because they are playing him so deep and letting him come downhill to support the run and the crossing routes. To your point I believe they feel like they can do this because of JThompson's tackling ability.

As such a huge Kliff supporter I cant believe you missed this. I truly believe Kliff was saving some Moore plays and maybe even AJ Green plays for Rams week (I know he played well, but I think there is more to do). Now it almost backfired, but I believe we'll see Moore get the ball in a variety of ways on Sunday. Basically saved him up against the Jags for this upcoming game.

I think the tempo is going to be very different as well.

I believe the Cardinals intended to go to Jacksonville, get the lead, and then pound the football. I feel like that is why they were so patient in the first half. In those types of games, they will just play Moore and Kirk less because of their blocking limitations. Now, if Moore could play outside, you could re-sign Kirk and sign Gesicki in the offseason and be in about the same place.

Lol. You are going to be on this Gesicki train for a while I see. I agree that we do need a decent pass catching TE. I wanted Howard from TB.

Like Chopper aid, a lot of McKinnon in his game. #s of tackles are a completely pointless stat. Dragging someone down from behind 12 yards down the field when you're supposed to be tackling them in the hole isn't a positive. Also, he was NOT responsible for the INT. He was, as usually, late to the play, and the TE was already bobbling the ball away. If the TE makes the simple catch, he once again gives up a first down because he's ass in coverage.

I am biased regarding TEs in football. They create so many offensive advantages that people just don't appreciate. With Gesicki, he is such a freak athlete being used so poorly that I feel he is prime target to buy low. and he is a willing blocker but that isn't his game. I feel like he is going to be Darren Waller for the team that signs him.

Any merit to Isiah looking good and maybe Vance knows how to develop rookies? If the guy has a decade long successful career and his coach eased him into his rookie year then who cares?

I think we can calm down about Zaven. He'll get there.
My opinion, no. I felt like Simmons looked good last year at times which is what being a rookie is. It is not a shock when a talented player generates more production when he plays more.

For context.

Simmons is within 2% of his completion % allowed last year this year.

Simmons recorded a solo tackle at a higher frequency last year than he has this year on a per snap basis. He is 3% below last years % per snap.

Simmons is being used as a blitzer 6% less than last year when he had decent pressure rates for his # of snaps.

Simmons missed tackle % is also nearly identical to last year as well.

The main difference is the passer rating allowed is significantly lower but that is because he is being used in coverage more than last year. More like a S than a LB.

So, no. I don't think Vance's approach last year helped his development much.
