I think Chopper is right on this one.

If Wilson does well (and I get the feeling that the Org think he might) and they plan to draft Harrison or another top WR there's no reason to pay Brown.

If he does really well you tag and trade, if he is just ok you let walk and pick up a comp.
Bound to happen eventually I guess...lol.

Where we differ is that I don't see much of a difference, if any at all, between Dobbs and McCoy other than mobility and maybe durability (more age related than anything else).
I think that way they saw at the Vikings scrimmage was so shocking that they felt compelled to make the trade. Every report that we have heard said as much, that McCoy looked really bad.

Maybe. If neither Moore nor Wilson can stay healthy this year, that changes the math on Brown. If the Cardinals have to choose between a QB and MHJ, I am not certain they will take MHJ. It is possible they are in the position to select both, but that is a small % chance.
Yes to all of this. It’s a historical low-probability event that you get 13+ games from either guy; they don’t hit less hard in the NFL than they do in the Pac-12.

Kyler also plays a small role in this, since Hollywood is his dude.

You still have to evaluate whether to keep Hollywood, Dortch, and see whether Michael Wilson is the real deal.

The only way that happens is with some semblance of QB play. As high as some are on Tune, he is most likely to suck real bad initially.
I agree with paragraph 1.

I question whether Dobbs gives you a better chance to accomplish paragraph 1, hence I disagree with the inference of sentence 1 of paragraph 2. Sentence 2 I tend to agree with - particularly the word “initially.”

I believe Brown's future with AZ is more tied to Michael Wilson and the Cardinals ability to draft MHJ next year than what he actually does this year.
Even if Wilson emerges and we can draft MHJ, signing hollywood may be advisable. It wouldn’t be expensive as Wilson and MHJ would be in rookie contracts and it would give us a WR room that could be best in the NFL (yes I realize I’m getting WAAAAAY ahead of myself there).

Such a short memory. Remember all those darksiders gladly eating crow in our undefeated start? We were gladly doing so, often. Where are you and the kool aiders when proven wrong? That's when the crickets come out. And darksiders can't point it out, because then we get hammered. Yinz kool aiders just want all happiness, all the time, no arguing with the regime, keep everything in line, and...it's laughable, really.

If you mean that one thread with a few posts vs the 1000 posts of offseason moaning? It hardly weighs the same.

And the fact is, it takes a 7-0 start to get that. Even had we need 5-2 or 4-3 it wouldn't have happened.

The bar for positivity is 100ft high and anything less is worthy of complaint.

This scenario would make sense if the Cardinals ended up sticking with Kyler, and Petzing is willing to run more 3WR sets. That could work financially.

Looking at the recent history of the Cardinals, I don't really understand how you can be upset with the amount of critical comments directed at the team. This franchise has been an embarrassment for a year and a half now, and has been outright bad for all but one season since 2018. And even in that one positive season, there were highly embarrassing moments.

One thread? You have a short, short memory. I spread the love all over this board. And I didn't wait for 7-0.

Nice job not addressing the never admitting YOU'RE wrong bit, though.

I agree, but my point is that you can't have F QB play. Dobbs can probably post an 80ish QB Rating if given the time and support. You need some modicum of QB to evaluate other players, and once You're convinced McCoy can't do that you have to make a move.
His 73.8% in the only season he had significant snaps would argue otherwise.

There is a lot to dislike, that's for sure.

That's with no time to acclimate and unfamiliarity with the offense.

Hopefully he will do better, but that is always the case with an unknown.

'Pointed out' and evidence of such are two very different things.
You have access to the forums. Dig it up yourself. Oh, I know, you want to be able to (and have others be able to) accuse us of things and then force us to do research to deflect accusations. Ha, no. The evidence is all over the board. Read it for yourself.

This is 100% crap. You make this board a bad place for a lot of players with this gaslighting bs. You haven’t been here long enough to make such blanket BS statements. The darksiders have long celebrated every celebratory event - even small ones - with the rest of the board. We recognize when a young player emerges, we celebrate individual wins unless we are in tank mode, we get delusionally happy with early season success even in season where it’s a mirage. You can take that crap and shove it. I don’t even care if I get banned for this - the attacks from you are unending and the board does nothing about it. Just talk football man. It can’t be that difficult for you to avoid attacking other posters.

Don’t think the new regime cares if Hollywood is Kylers dude as they have shown they will clean house and only a very small group of players are safe

While true. I think the Hollywood dynamic differs from all those. If they believe kylers their guy and Hollywood performs well they’ll 100% consider the fact Hollywood is kyler’s compadre. They’d be silly not to do so.

and this is where I get frustrated. If people are frustrated by the negative tones of this board, be frustrated with the franchise that continues to provide the source for negativity. People on here are just reacting to what the franchise is doing.
I get frustrated when there's negativity about everything. Not everything is terrible about this team.

I think this is true right now. If this season goes the way it seems to be intended to go, that may change. The pressure to win can ignite quicker and burn hotter than most coaches/execs think even when the plan is to rebuild. Bidwill and some fans are good now, but when the stadium is empty, the team is non-competitive, and the franchise is being clowned on at a national level, patience grows thin.
