I have been extremely critical of management for giving away the farm for KK. Now that for all practical purposes he is a Cardinal it is time to turn the page.

I say welcome aboard. I am hoping and praying you will be the most successful QB in Cardinal history. And I will be cheering for you along with the rest of Cardinal nation. ;)

And the very best thing you can do is finish the job Kurt Warner started and bring the most deserving fans in the NFL a Super Bowl.

Welcome to Cardinal Nation!!!

Per Jurecki yesterday, yes.

DRC and our 2012 2nd round pick for Kolb. Contract is a done deal with an alleged $19 mil guaranteed.

I guess someone tweeted yesterday that it was a done deal. Going to have to wait for the Friday 3pm Cardinals presser for an official announcement.

If true, I hope Kolb is the right move... I am very excited we got a QB for sure.

I dont like moving a promising CB, but if it works out it will be worth it.

If that is the case I welcome him to the Cards but in my opinion we gave up to much for him.

Agreed. Hope it works out, but I don't like the move.

Don't like Kolb, and don't like giving up a pro-bowler and a high draft pick for an unproven player.

I understand about the presser, but can the trade be confirmed earlier, like 12 noon Arizona time. I'm a bit confused when trades can officially be confirmed today. For some reason I'm thinking trades can be confirmed 3PM ET. Can anyone provide some clarity.

Gave up way too much for him. I just hope he can stay healthy, our line is the worst in the league.

A little pricey but I'm happy we didn't go for a scrub. New DC and Kolb, that's all I wanted for Christmas. :) (that and a home brew kit)

Welcome to AZ Kolb! He wants to be here, Whiz wants him here, Fitz seems to want him here, and our QB question appears to be answered.

I do wish there were a pick coming back with him, though. Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised when everything is confirmed.

Everybody's so worried about that second round pick, look at it this way how many of the Cards last 10 second round picks would you be willing to toss into the deal?

There's a really good chance that whoever the Cards would have drafted with that pick would break their leg in camp and never play anyway.

I'm not worried about the draft pick the money, anything, if it works out great but I'm not excited about it.

Now our utter lack of LB'er depth or starters for that matter concerns me as well as the new hole in our secondary.

Why is there a new hole if we drafted PP7 and lost DRC? If there is a hole isn't it the same old hole we had before?

If it's only $19 MM guarantee......this deal is OK.

I am so not worried about the pick. I didn't want to give up DRC. The contract and the draft pick(s) are no big deal as long as they aren't first-rounders IMO. DRC WAS a big deal, but like I said, "Welcome to Arizona Kevin Kolb." I've moved on and am hoping against hope than Whisenhunt & KK will exceed my expectations this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go hard for Johnathon Joseph to replace DRC....would be expensive but $$ well spent.

I also think that two LB's will round out our F/A.

Sadly this has been in the back of my mind the whole time. Maybe it's good that we're sending the pick, because we won't have to hear any complaints about how it's used on draft day...

Roger that.

True, there is no apparent roster hole, but we no longer have a lockdown #3 corner and we gave up Leinart for nothing. It just seems like we overspend on the guys we bring in and get nothing in return for the guys we let go. (Whatever the reasons, we need to evaluate and develop our personnel better and make better decisions).

Onward.

Thata's what I was thinking. I like the whole deal. You need a QB to win and, while Kolb may turn out to be horrible, you hvae to take the chance. I think he'll turn out to be pretty good. Other than getting spoiled by the 2 years of Warner, our QB's have generally stunk. Kolb can gives us a guy for 10 years if he plays well.
