Look---for those of you who are upset with the pick---let me say this---Floyd was the only legitimate #1 WR in this draft. I was convinced he would go ahead of Blackmon who will be more of a slot WR in the NFL because he's much easier to defend on the perimeter. Now we have a #1 WR on both sides of the field.

What I love the most is that the Cardinals continue to just take the guy they have highest on their board and say f need. That is the way you should draft.

El wrongo. We had a glaring, glaring need at WR2. I hated that, with a great WR crop in FA, so I figured we'd have to waste a pick in the draft to fill that hole. I'm horrified we did that with our #1 pick. IMO, 3-5 better players there to draft ahead of the WR. Ugh.

Everyone bitching about OLine I got two words for you.....

Adrian Peterson

And I got two words for you...Bryant Johnson. See, two can play the name game. I'm not saying we needed to take one of the OL, but Adrian Peterson and the Levi pick has zero to do with anything right now.

Oh and...

I really don't get the off field issues. Both were underage drinking and one was a DUI. Big deal. Relax people, he's not Pacman Jones and he's Fitz's prodigee and Fitz is provably the most level headed guy in the NFL. The Bidwills and Wiz wouldn't take a guy with major off field issues. He will at the very least take pressure off Fitz. It's a great move.

Meanwhile Irvin, Bryant, Long, willis, and others will continue to break our QB's and give them no time to throw the ball.

who cares

The good teams sans New England and New Orleans all prioritize WR over Oline.

wr play was the main reason we beat the 49ers last year

Couldnt agree more Mitch. I am thrilled. I wanted an OT so bad. But Floyd was to good to pass up.

Yay, Beerz! The Cardinals went for the highest impact player in the first round last year in Peterson---and now they do it this year with Floyd. The rest of last year's draft proved to be pretty dang solid---so stay thirsty my friends!

Did we really need to draft Dwayne Bowe v.2.0?

He can catch a ball thrown high.

He can't run a route to save his life, other than a go.

He loves alcohol more than you loved St. Pierre.

I am less than thrilled.

I see this as David Boston Part II. Big, talented WR, off-field issues will ruin his career.

Boston was way more athletic as well. This guy Floyd is not a fluid athlete. Bust city.

But does he have a Nipple Ring under his pads?

not sure how you guys think #2 WR wasn't a huge need on this team. It has been for the last two years. This team had two huge needs... #2 WR and OT... and we filled one of them.

I'm ok with the pick but it's not his football talent that is in question it's his ability to stay out of trouble. He had what 3 alcohol related arrests at ND? That's what people are concerned about, not his ability to play football.

I'd have taken DeCastro but I'm ok with this pick he has a chance to be great, but he has to stay out of trouble.

Kolb won't be able to make it to his 2nd read with our O-line. Specifically our hurting OT's.

BTW Stout, love ya brother. I don't care if people disagree. I was just trying to be funny.

Love him or hate him, Floyd is a Cardinal and everyone should hope he kicks as much ass as I think he will.

NE drafted an OT in the first round last year???!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

New Orleans best recievers was drafted way past the 6th round?

And Graham was a ways back as well!

Where are you coming up with this stuff?

FITZ and our Defense were the reasons we beat the Niners last year. Not our WR's.

I gotta disagree there. This booze stuff scares me. If it was just a couple underage drinking things it would be one thing, but to get a DUI on top of it all for a 3rd arrest is scary. And its not like Fitz is going to be there to babysit him off the field. I am not saying he is some punk like Pac-man but booze has derailed plenty of careers and he has put himself on the fast track if thats the course he is going to take.

He's now checking into Camp Fitzgerald. It's all football at Camp Fitz---and the art of getting onto supreme shape and running clean routes.

Floyd will be fine. I just think there were other players who would have helped more, and I certainly didn't see Floyd as a clear-cut BPA. I'm also worried Whis is continuing to chase his glory years instead of doing what's best for the current makeup of this team.

On a positive note, we'll have a ton of talent on offense if Williams gets back to full speed. All we need to do is figure out who will get the ball to them.

No thanks. You're a mod, you can tell people have some pretty strong opinions in this thread, and you decided to post an inflammatory and uncalled for pic because you got your way and other people are upset over the pick. It was immature, and I bet I would have been banned if I had done it in a similar scenario. If you still thought like a mod rather than an irritating poster that just got his way, you'd take the stupid pic down.

Gotta draft BPA and not for need. Cards can address oline in latet rounds. Besides a #2 receiver is a need for this team.

Worst pick ever? C'mon.
