The defense is terrible, the premise tonight was man on man with over pursuit of the pass lanes. So if you don't get the steal you have a 5-4 in favor of the offense.

Then in the post it's let Gasol get 6-8 ft from the hoop and get an easy bucket.

That is a horrible defensive strategy.

Yes, it was.

GOOD GAME, THANK YOU FOR WINNING, although my heart doesn't think it can take anymore of that stuff...

Get used to it.

My wife thinks I'm nuts. My hands and nails are hurting. Good thing I stayed home tonight.

Are the bandwagon LA fans becoming Suns fans?

could john thompson have ragged on the suns any more tonight? I mean we all know the defense is suspect, but geez. Can we get some better announcers?

For some reason, I stayed confident during this game. Usually I think the Suns are going to blow it, but tonight it just felt like eventually they'd make a big shot or two. I must admit, though, I didn't anticipate Richardson coming up with a key block on Gasol!

Barkley just continued the beat down.

Motivation is a great ally.

Anybody like Charles Barkley's quote at the end of the game?

He said something like, "I said at halftime that the Suns had to send a message that 'we are an elite team and nobody can come into our house and beat us'"

Then Charles said, "but they lost that battle tonight."

What? Last I checked, nobody came into our house and beat us.

NICE GUT CHECK WIN!

Marion continues to make me look like a fool caling him soft. He was huge on the boards again, took it strong to the hole, hit two HUGE shots and had a couple nice blocks on Pau.

Was a little worried down 5 but as they've done all year - they responded - with the biggest pressure on them. Q with the 3, the block, the offensive rebound and FT and then the final rebound. Huge - just huge.

JJ - nice shooting touch, hit a big 3.

Amare - nailing FTs down the stretch and continuing to go strong to the hole even when slammed.

The only one I'm a little worried about is Nash - his shot was wayyyyy off tonight and hasn't been great the last 10games or so(or at least it seems that way). Hopefully it's just a rut - but he was great with dishing the ball and controlling the tempo.

Hunter - good solid minutes again also.

Bottom line - welcome to the playoffs folks - it's gonna be a wild ride. I expect to win oneof the next two and then close it out in Game 5 and get ready for the first of three MAJOR showdowns.

COACHELLA!!!!!!!!

There's going to be a tribute to someone who died this year. He's actually the brother of an old friend of mine. I can't go to Coachella, but I'd really appreciate it if you can let me know how it goes.

he said at halftime - we needed to KILL them and make that point - that's what he was talking about at the half.

They are in a great position to win the series. I am pretty confident that with the way the suns play on the road they will win 1 of 2, maybe both.

Memphis is a tough team for Phoenix, I was just hoping they would send a message like the other teams at the top have been doing.

But a tough series of the top like this may help them in the end this team is still relatively inexperienced playoff wise.
