This Memphis team is in sad shape. No one even wanted to shoot the ball at the end. In the final 3 minutes they repeatedly got open looks at the 3 and passed them up.

They have now conceded this series. They will play loose in game 4. We've got to be careful and close things out in game 4. We won't lose the series, but we need some extra rest. Also, more games means more wear and tear and more possibility for injuries.

Like no other Suns team before--this team takes care of business.

Nash came back into the game and played another 10 minutes or so after it happened. It was diagnosed as a mild shoulder sprain, but it looked like it might have just been a stinger.

He actually just said on Fox Sports that he sub-laxed it, or partially came out...but it's happened before, so he was fine...

ESPN sucks.

On ESPNews they just said the Suns lost both games in Memphis.

Great reporting guys. The Suns win there was even broadcast on their sister network ABC. :doi:

I guess if the ABC announcer couldn't get Barbosa's name right how can we expect ESPN to get the resuts correct? :)

ESPN is a joke, as a Sun Devil fan it pisses me off to high hell that they call our players UA players and the Arizona State Wildcats on occasions.

I am 100% certain that kittie fans feel the same way when ESPN screws up using us as them.

Why don't they just call us the University of Northern Arizona State WildLumberDevils

I agree that D'Antoni should be coach of the year, but he does seem a tad slow in figuring out that the combination of Hunter and Stoudemire would simply shut down the Memphis inside game. Gasol has 11 points prior to Hunter entering the lineup and 2 the rest of the game.

I don't get to see many Suns games, but I got chills thinking about the possibilities if Hunter continues to improve and become more consistent. That could be one hell of a combo. Hopefully we'll get him resigned this offseason and he'll continue to improve. Oh man...

Oh, and the best thing about tonights game was that we just kept attacking. We were relentless. I don't think the grizzlies ever got it to under 11, and if they did it was very quick. We had a consistent 15-17 point lead the entire 4th quarter it seemed. This team looks hungry.

I was in an airplane during the whole game -- awaiting my connection in Heathrow now -- but it sounds like I missed a good one. Put me down in the column of those hoping for a sweep. I'd much rather the team get rested and healthy than worry about rust.

The Yahoo recap was very excited about Stoudemire's second-quarter dunk over Stromile "Not Too" Swift. Is that what the "OMFG" was about? :D

Also, I love how we only played 8 players, with Leandro only getting 3 minutes, but Joe Johnson was the only one with 40+ minutes.

Jimmy Jack played well.

The Grizzlies were able to beat the Spurs in Memphis in a game the Spurs wanted to have a chance at best NBA record. But other than that game, the Griz have not been playing well for the last few weeks and they seem to lack mental toughness. Last night's game may be the final nail, although the Sun's comeback on Tuesday was the real killer.

If the Suns can play defense like they did against the Griz (after the first few minutes), they have a very good chance of getting to the Conference Finals.

Yep, that's what it was about. Amare actually had two amazing dunks on swift, as quite a few amazingly athletic "And 1's" as well.

Yea,

he had:

"the dunk"

a dunk on Swift, Amare caught the inbound pass with 8 secs left on the shot clock, drove almost around him, and then just elevated over him.

an "and 1" where he drove throgh the lane, got twirled around, and threw up a shot facing away from the hoop

an "and 1" which I dont know if it counted, but: he drove into the lane, lost control of the ball, changed the ball between his hands a couple times, and then just put it off the back board and in just before he came back down.

Along with his size, strength, quickness, and competitiveness (a nice combination), Amare has huge hands.
