I can't believe how well this team is performing... I think I am taking it for granted, and the magnificence of this regular season hasn't sank in.

We started this month with a brutal week - 5 road games in 7 days.

Result? 4-1 , losing only a close game in Miami.

The next week, 3 games at home against tough competition.

Result? 3-0.

And this is without us playing at (in my opinion) our top gear. Regardless
of what happens in the playoffs this team has made me really proud to be
a Suns fan.

You know, we've had plenty of post this year of all of us praising the Suns and how they are playing--and we still also do the constructive criticism thing as well with our needs and wants for the team.

But now that we are getting close to the home stretch, I wonder if anyone is seriously beginning to feel those butterflies in their stomach that this team can really be something special. Even when we play like crap, we are able to pull out tough games--and beat the teams we are supposed to beat. It seems like years since we've done that.

Now, let's be realistic, while we are no longshot to win the Title, it will be very tough and we are definitely not favored. But there definitely is a guarded optimism that is more than just "hey, we might be able to get past the first round!"

you know what the greatest indicator is of how far we've come. When we win games this year, it hasn't made ALL that much news - but when we lose - it's ALL OVER THE PLACE- top story most of the time - that is a sign of greatness my friends. Some may look at it as disrespect, but we are getting everyone's best night in and night out and they all try to disprove that our style can't get it done - well guess what - we're coming down the homestretch, have missed our MVP for a period of time, are amongst the youngest teams in the NBA and as of tonight - WE OWN THE BEST RECORD IN BASKETBALL.

I am starting to get those butterflies and it pisses me off because the heartbreak of losing just hurts so much with expectations, but oh - if those expectations pay - oh... if the only pay off!!!!

Bring on the playoffs - I can't wait for the weekly heart attacks this board is gonna have.
