I will be going to a friends house, swilling beer and playing pool before the game starts. Then it's football time baby!

Well, here in Chicago, my Son and I will park our butts in front of the TV for the early games and watch the Bills upset the Seahawks. We will lean back and talk about how this is OUR season.

At 3:05 reality will set in and I will start to sweat and bite my nails thinking about how the season is REALLY about to start. We will be haunted about thoughts of past hopes, promises and failures. At 3:15 I will be down to the cuticles. Some nervous vulgar language will be spewed here and there which will last until we are comfortably ahead and in control of the game.

I just can't see us losing to this 49er team.Im not saying we will blow them out , but we seem to be so far ahead of where we were last year that it just doesn't seem possible that we could lose to this team for the 3rd time in a row. Whiz won't let that happen.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Florida (Tampa area) visiting family. I don't think they have DirecTV, so I probably won't get to see the game until we get home on Wednesday.

Stinks, because I just finished stuffing a fresh batch of home-made brats. They'll have to wait for the home opener.

Go Cards!!!

I haven't figured that out yet. I am supposed to be away on work, but that may have to change. I am contemplating driving up to PA to see my Pops, and having all the Cards fans in the family unite for the first game of the year. I am thinking it may be a good tradition to start.

The 1st annual Kickoff classic party. Plenty of eagles losers to witness the drubbing of the Lambs. A few Cowboy fans, a Viking fan, and a Buccaneers fan (my wife). Good grub, plenty of alcohol, and a lot of cussin'.

Heading up to the mountains on Sat with my son and his wife (on leave from the USAF) to our cabin West of Flagstaff. I will be watching from a little bar in Williams or somewhere in Flagstaff. Anyone know a good place to watch the game in Flag? Also, my daughter-in-law would like to find a Karioke bar on Sun in Flag for her birthday, anyone know of one? She can sing.

After our recent relocation back to Tucson from Show Low we're down to 19 inch tube. I think its time to splurge for a 42 in LCD set for the season.
So Saturday'll be shopping for a set and Sunday will be hoping we score a point for each inch of set I pick up.
Cards 42
Niners 17

OT: any recomendations on a brand of set to get or to stay away from?

Nothing wild on my end, just sitting in front of the big screen with my handy dandy players list thanks to Redline. I've been following the Cards since 1962 and I still get the same butterflies at the start of each season.

Check out the threads in the Tech Corner forum - there's a few threads in there, particularly Jersey Girls thread, that talks of buying a new tv. Good luck!

As for me, I will be sitting on my couch, or maybe a friend's couch, sporting my Boldin jersey and getting ready for the start of the season! YES!

I'll be glued to the TV watching the game and being num to the things around me till the game is over and then be sad because I'll have to be in college all day on Monday. Then repeat till next game and so on.

Upstairs in my sports bar with the wife and kids watching the game on my 60 inch plasma. Sucking down Mich Ultras and shots of 1921 tequila.

The wife will probably make her famous roasted green chile salsa and carnitas.

Life is good.

Wake up early, go lift weights. Fit my ass in my couch at 8 am for the rest of the day. Ill watch the Cards game on the 52" LCD and some other games on my laptop w/ slingbox (preferably the ones with fantasy football implications). Sundays are great (until you realize you have to work the following day)

Liar.

You'll be so hung over from the Buckeye's huge win over the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of Ohio that you won't do any of that other than the 4-7PM :D

The SAmsungs are real nice and reasonable. DLP is real nice, especially with blue-ray. Ultimate Electronics is a good source.

I'll be one of the lucky ones at the game with 7 other friends--sitting at the 40 yard line on the Cardinals side!

Just got a 52" Samsung LCD 1080P. Blue Ray movies are impeccable on there
