Point taken but the other side of the coin is if they are more proven then they go higher in the draft and we have no shot at them. Pavel is a definate risk but because he is thats why he'll probably be available at #7.
Its not like I want us taking a stiff but I dont want us being afraid to take a chance either. I'll let the Suns judge to see whom they like best and possible upsides. Right now I'd settle on a center that can be a defensive presence and grab boards. Pavel may be a total project in every sense of the word but if he can move up and down the court at a decent speed and stick his arms up in the air and alter some shots I'd take it. IF the Suns are going a different direction and dont take a center in the draft then I hope the dude is a total stud and worth it.
Josh Smith might be nice if Marion is on the blocks.
