Nope. That was Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who both did Delicatessen back in 1991. I LOVED Delicatessen, but have an extermely hard time sitting through COLC. Beautiful to look at though. I love Brasil. Gilliam is a great director. Anyone see the documentary of his failed attenmpt a Quixote? I havent yet, Its on the way.

Oh and Oran, I would disagree that Memento will be a cult classic. That film is too widely respected in legit film circles to be a legit cult film, though I could see where you get it from. Its not NEARLY as discussed afilm classicaly speaking at it should be. Brilliant movie.

My choices for cult films:

Repo Man
Suburbia (the Penelope Spheeris one)
Heathers
And believe it or not, Im putting Rock Star down. That movie is so horribly good. It just sucks. I love it!

I guess depending on how one defines "cult movies".... Mine are
This Is Spinal Tap, The Rutles, Office Space, Space Balls, UHF, What's Up Tiger Lily, and Strangeland...

Kentucky Fried Movie definitely ranks among my favorite movies of all-time.... The only drawback was that "A Fistful of Yen"
dragged on a little too long..... I must find myself a 6-pack of Willer....

Sylvester Stallone's best movie ever!!! Any movie that features an entire plot built around running people over is okay with me.

I'm not sure how you'd define "cult film" but my unsung favorites include -

- Edge of the City (Sidney Poitier and John Cassavetes

- Blue Velvet

- One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest

- Ferris Buhler's Day Off

- Full Metal Jacket

- The Deer Hunter

- The Pink Panther movies

- Cape Fear (DiNiro version)

- True Romance

- Tombstone

- All the Coen Bros/ films - The Man Who Wasn't There, Fargo. Big Lebowski, Oh Brother Where Art Thow and (I think Sling Blade was a Coen film)

Generally a cult film is anything that hasn't been accepted by the mainstream public but has a very strong and loyal (cult-like) following.

Sling Blade was written/directed by Billy Bob Thornton.

Remo Williams, rock on!! I grew up watching that movie! Joel Gray is classic in that one as "Chun". Fabulous character.

My Cult Classics:

Dark City
Brain Donors
Kentucky Fried Movie
Army of Darkness
Freaked (yes, the one with Mr T in a tu-tu "I am woman!")

The bullet-dodging bit by Chun and later by Remo is simply classic!
