I DL'ed the MGMT record. Its interesting, but man, its just too out there for me. I like the remixes of their songs much better.

Check out that Japanese Motors record.

In a van...down by the river.
Digging for more Godspeed! You Black Emperor.
Hard to find anything though.....found their EP on CD "Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada"last week.
It's solid but too short.
edit: I decided to take the Amazon.com plunge and order some of their stuff online. Millions of people do it(buy online) but i've been a paranoid chicken $h!t.

Channeling some odd energies lately and it's showing in my eclectic mix of music.

From the 90's
Liz Phair- Self Titled
Everclear- Ten Years Gone

From the 70's
Elton John- Best of
Steely Dan- Guancho

From the 'modern' era
Ludacris- Release Therapy
Nelly Furtado- Whoa, Nelly
Jimmy Eat World- Bleed American

IMO the first album is better.

Their first full album "Up to Here" is a classic. I really like their first four albums:
Up to Here
Road Apples
Fully Completely
Day for Night

After that there straight forward rock became more alternative and thus no so enjoyable for me. I have seem them twice live and actually got to party with them in Lubbock, Texas. Can't believe they were actually buying me beers.
