What does this mean for Vujanic?

If the Suns are not done dealing, is it possible he could still come over?

Does anybody think Vujanic is another wild card? Do the Suns have major interest in bringing him over this year, and if so, at who's expense?

Sign and trades?

Is this only the beginning of a major re-tooling?

Vujanic is stuck in Europe for another year. His team evidently wanted a ridiculous buyout and the Suns said "NO" and since they signed Nash that changed into a "Hell NO"

He may be wild card in that they could use him in trades for the future or maybe sign-and-trade with Dallas or LA, but I doubt it.

Well, the Suns needs were at PG, backup SG/SF and center, and they got their PG. They've got $5m or $6m left, so I expect they'll sign another player or two.

Vujanic's Suns career is officially over, is my guess. Maybe the Spurs would like to have his rights--then the Suns could get their draft pick back. ;)

Major retooling seemed unlikely from the beginning, and it still seems unlikely. I'm not sure the Nash signing makes a difference either way on that front.

I can certainly understand that, but Vujanic can play. If he's that good (and, from what I've seen... he is), then you need to find a spot for him.

This team needs to get better. I'm all for bringing in pieces that will make this happen.

Out:

Casey Jacobsen?
Jake Voskuhl?

Give me some possible scenarios...

I think one of the reasons the Suns struggled last year was lackluster bench play. They relied too much on in-experience coming off the bench. Once again the Suns will be counting on some young players to provide off the bench. I don't think the Suns want the back-up guards to be Barbosa and Vujanic. Too much inexperience. Thats not to say that next year they don't sign Vujanic.

Also, those who have seen Vujanic, it seems to me he may have combo tendencies. Is this true?

From what I have read, and the little I have seen him play, I think he translates better to an NBA 2 guard. He kinda reminds me of Eric Piatkowski for some reason. Maybe it's his scoring ability.

I don't think this movie can clearly rules Vujanic out of the Phoenix Suns future, but if there was any hope he would be here next season it's gone. I'm not heartbroken. If he does really well in Europe again and his buyout is reasonable he could be very valuable in a trade next summer.

Joe Mama - unless Vujanic signs, don't worry about tape now :D

Thanks though, I have a game of Vroman if you've never seen him play? The day of Draft, I read on Mock Draft about Vroman and his good game against Rutgers (Herve Lamizana's team - played I pimped up for months) and was going to watch before Draft but had company and boom thats who Suns selected. Herve Lamizana doesn't play too well (foul trouble I read before Draft and decided not to watch game before Draft - 4 Points etc) - lucky I didn't tape over game. Vroman is a good role player...
