I don't see why the hatred against Shaq, just as it used to be against Marbury. He didn't do anything harming the franchise, nor did Marbury. I think if Nash played defense as well as he does now
ROFL, it's a thread about the Cavs and you still have to take a swipe at Nash. Great stuff.
That's hommage to Nash and compliment on his courage to "improve" his game in that department. You are still bitter that I told you Amare/Nash will be better than Malone/Stockton once Nash emulates Stockton a bit, or still proud of the fact you tried to riducule me for my vision about that.
uh... when did Amare/Nash lead their team to the Finals? This duo still has a ways to go until they reach that rarified air.
Vision! My friend.
The point was that amid the trades talks early in the year, most of the posters labeled me a Nash basher for seeing the potential of Amare/Nash of emulating that of Malone/Stockton, since it required Nash to play a "lesser" role than he had been doing, so to say downgrade himself to Stockton. That's considered blasmephy and has been held against me. I'm quite proud, to be honest. They still have some years together in the year to prove that they are even better than Malone/Stockton, but the making is written on the wall.
My dream scenario is that the Suns meet Cleveland in the Finals, O'Neal gets completely run off the court, the Suns close out the series in Game 5 at home, and somehow I get a $1000 seat to the game so that I can hold up a huge banner reading "HEY SHAQ THANKS FOR THE RING!"
THey have a few years left to play together IF Amare doesnt opt out and IF Nash doesnt break down. Dragic will be nipping at his heals tho. We dont have an answer to losing Amare because Charmin Frye is not that person.
Why it's not Shaq's fault the Suns didn't get anywhere last year. Not to mention Shaq played a decent game. The Cavs bench was horrendous. Nobody on the bench showed up to play. When you add that with Lebron only scoring 15 points...that is a disaster of the worst kind.
I don't see why the hatred against Shaq, just as it used to be against Marbury. He didn't do anything harming the franchise, nor did Marbury. I think if Nash played defense as well as he does now, in DA's last season, we might have beaten Spurs already 2 years ago, though the current roster composition/chemstry is a lot better. Mainly due to Gentry.
And cheesebeef, I'm fine with Phil starting over in NY with LBJ and Bosh, but I believe our Amare/Nash led Suns will win the title for the next 3 years in a row. Sorry, to bust your fantasy.
Just to clarify, I have nothing against Shaq. I think he played his ass off for the Suns. I actually believe he played harder for the Suns than ever before in his career. What's really amazing is that once he got traded, he never said anything bad about the team, city, organization, coach, GM, etc, which is really uncharacteristic for Shaq. Who knows what would have happened last year had Amare been healthy. I like Shaq, just like I like Marbury.
My comment was not intended as a jab at Shaq, I just found it amusing that after not making playoffs, the Suns traded their leading rebounder and 2nd (or 3rd) leading scorer for nothing, and made it to the conference finals at the very least.
How is it that so many of this forums old school LAKERS fans are also AZ Cardinal football fans? What happened there?

Tell that to the kissyfaces you made at me during the Super Bowl. We were minutes away from an embrace, and you know it.
my thinking precisely. shouldn't they be rams or raiders fans????
Yeah like me. I'm a RAMS fan because before '88 there was no NFL here, while the SUNS have been here since the day i entered into this world in '69.my thinking precisely. shouldn't they be rams or raiders fans????
Why Renz? Are you an AZ native like myself?I grew up a Rams fan, but disowned them when they moved to St. Louis.
^^ Greatest sports day in my life right there CheeseWater(got my game-day Ike Bruce jersey with the silly string party stains on it hanging in my closet too).....i wonder how the SUNS winning a title would compare?Did someone say "Rams fan"?
