Let's say James goes back to Cleveland and Bosh bolts for the Rockets. Now Wade is the last man on the sinking ship. Where else can he go? Who wants him? What kind of salary will he get?

Would he take the MLE to go to the Thunder? Is there any price at which the Suns would consider him?

Chicago, without a doubt. That is his home and where his kids live most of the year.

Miami owes him 42 million. You have to believe he opted out with the assurance that they would make him whole. I think he stays in Miami and rides off into the sunset with his money. He already has 3 rings.

I think that's the most likely scenario, but I could also see him wanting to leave if he realizes the Heat aren't going to be any good. Why should James and Bosh have all the fun?

Well, there is a bit of a difference in that he has been in Miami much longer, spent his whole career there in fact, was largely responsible for bringing James and Bosh to town, and probably feels some level of loyalty to the team. For Wade to leave, I think it would (or at least should) be a much bigger deal to Heat fans.

The questino is, would the Heat want him back at that point. He still has enough left to win them a few games and if that team is terrible, why hang on to him when by the time they are competivie again, he will have nothing left. Let him walk and tank.

Well, that would be cold. Dump the one guy who remains loyal to you. They could do it, but I do not think it would go over well with future free agents.

Maybe he leaves if he really wants another title to pad his lead over Lebron, or perhaps even deny Lebron one. He can always come back to the Heat in another capacity later. But if he doesn't really care and the money's the same...maybe just stay put and be a one-franchise player.

He could join Kobe in LA and the Lakers could go for another championship

. . .in a wheel chair league.

Yeah I think it's more likely they just pay him the max for two years knowing he'll lead them into high lottery status. They have to spend 56 million anyway, they might as well give most of it to Wade if Bosh and Lebron move on.

My guess is this. He will get a max 3 years or something like that. If Bosh and Lebron are indeed gone, he will just be there in a Kobe capacity to fill the seats and reward him for past deeds.

Love, Kobe and Wade... not terrible if it can be done.

In a wheelchair league or do you really think that trio is a legitimate threat in the NBA? I don't think it's a force in the NBA or the NWBA. Maybe it will become a powerhouse as they replace Kobe and Wade but until then I'm not sure it's better than the team Kevin leaves behind.

It might make fans happy in LA. The Lakers are still locked into Kobe.

Wade needs to become an Agent. He has personally put 2 different teams together to get 3 rings.

He didn't have James and Bosh five seasons ago . . . and he doesn't have them now. Boo hoo.

And they are all older. Except age is affecting Wade the most. It happens to all of us. :)

Wade will stay in Miami but who will Reily now go after?? Additionally who will want to go to Miami without Lebron.

I felt horrible for the Cleveland fans four years ago, I feel great about the Miami fans now. Turnabout and all.

BTW, I do feel so bad for the Cleveland fans now. What was a terrible negative now seems like an unfair positive. If it wasn't for winning the lottery, it would be fine.
